LOS ANGELES, CA (May 16, 2013) – On the heels of Jodi Arias’ murder conviction last week, Lifetime today announced that its original movie Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret will make its world premiere on Saturday, June 22, at 8:00pm ET/PT.

Based on the disturbing murder trial that continues to captivate the nation, Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret tells the story of Jodi Arias (Tania Raymonde, Lost), a seductive 28-year-old aspiring photographer recently found guilty of killing her former lover, Travis Alexander (Jesse Lee Soffer, The Mob Doctor), who was found nude in his home shower with a slit throat, 27 additional stab wounds and a bullet to the head.  While investigating the violent killing, Mesa, Arizona police retrieved a digital camera from Alexander’s washing machine, revealing shocking images authorities claim Arias took during their sexual escapades, as well as during and after his murder.  While Jodi pled not guilty and contends she killed Alexander in self-defense, police concluded that when he broke off their relationship, she stalked her ex-boyfriend and seduced him one final time before murdering him in cold blood.  Her subsequent trial has been grand theater, dominating the cable news networks as she testified in her own defense and offered explicit insight into the sex, lies and obsession that led up to Alexander’s murder.

Tony Plana (Ugly Betty) portrays Prosecutor Juan Martinez and David Zayas (Dexter) plays Detective Esteban Flores.

In advance of the movie’s premiere, on Wednesday, May 22, at 10:00pm ET/PT, Lifetime will air the hour-long documentary, Jodi Arias: Beyond the Headlines, providing an in-depth look at Arias’ and Alexander’s tragic relationship and his murder, as told by Arias herself, as well as his sister, brother and close friends.   Additionally, police detective Esteban Flores and criminologist Lawrence Kobilinsky will explain their take on everything involving the case leading up to Alexander’s gruesome murder on June 4, 2008.  Jodi Arias: Beyond the Headlines will also air on Saturday, June 22, at 10:00pm ET/PT, immediately following the movie’s world premiere.  Jodi Arias: Beyond the Headlines is produced by CBS EYE Productions.

Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret is produced by SilverScreen Pictures in association with City Entertainment and Peace Out Productions, with Joshua D. Maurer (Lifetime’s Georgia O’Keeffe, Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, And Starring Pancho Villa As Himself), Alixandre Witlin (Lifetime’s Georgia O’Keeffe, Dodson’s Journey) and Judith Verno (Lifetime’s Drew Peterson: Untouchable, The Craigslist Killer, Natalee Holloway) serving as executive producers.  The film is directed by Jace Alexander (Law & Order, Rescue Me) from a script by Richard Blaney and Gregory Small (Okavango: The Wild Frontier).

A+E Networks will handle international sales for Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret.

‘The Mob Doctor’ cited as point of reference for Jesse Lee Soffer. Yes! Long live ‘The Mob Doctor’.

Who cares about this murdering bimbo.

Jace Alexander “feels sorry for Jodi Arias and thinks she would like to take it back” for Jodi Arias – she has never once demonstrated remorse. And when she was younger even hit her own mother; and a dog.

Disappointed Lifetime is going to air this fact-less movie.

Nothing but disrespectful to the victim Travis Alexander and his family.

I definitely will NOT be watching the trashy movie!

    I can’t wait!

To Jace ALEXANDER, I am outraged and disgusted that Lifetime is allowing this guy to create and air this trash movie based on the killers lies. Shame on you Lifetime! This is sooo disrespectful to Travis andhis family. flipped thru your channel over the weekend and a commercial came on for this horrific movie, showing the killer covered in blood as well as the whole room and poor Travise laying slumped in the shower with his throat cut. How the hell can you do this to the victim and his famly??. ts bad enough she slaughtered him in life and death, and that poor family has waited 5 long years for justice, the emotional and physical tole its taking on them Is gut wrenching. The last thng that family needs is to see a movie made about their brother being butchered and to top it off, portrayng it from the killers side. I have banned your channel and will not watch anything from your network. Your a disgrace Jace Alexander, you ought to put your feet in the shoes of the victims..I ope this movie gets close. to zero ratings, cuz m sure there will be those hat watch. God bless Travis and his family, kharma takes a liking to people like you Jace, you never now what it has in store for you. And doing this disturbing, distasteful movie is a slap in the face to Travis and his family. Sickening!
