You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Definitions: Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Modern Family’s ratings are still down like 2 points in the demo since a couple years ago which is a huge drop

It’s down but not that huge compared to a year ago (3.9) and 2 years ago (4.1) but on the season average it’s down a full point

The Middle matched last year’s 1.9. But I wish it goes to 2.0 again

How to Live is decent but well ABC seems like they had a good comedy development so they just didn’t need this one. The Neighbors, I was surprised it was renewed, but I guess being produced by ABCs plus the fact that the reviews later became good so I guess that’s why gave it another shot

    ABC pull out Family Tools!

  • Connie

    OMG Nashville!

So sad for Juliette :( what a heartbreaking episode.

To the people who commented about Leah Remini’s weight…she’s not really THAT big. She got pretty heavy during the last couple seasons of King of Queens, from when she was pregnant. She even asked co-star Kevin James, who had recently lost some weight, to gain it back so she wouldn’t look as bad next to him (not nice of her to ask IMO, but he did it). But she’s not as heavy as she was – she certainly doesn’t have to lose 200 pounds. Maybe 40-50 would get her back to her leaner weight. Either way, I hope she’ll find success on another show some time. I liked her in KoQ.

  • forg

Since they cancelled it, I hope ABC airs all of How to Live’s episodes until summer. Nothing to lose anymore

  • Rebecca

    @forg
So far it’s on the schedule through June.

How about a poll today on how well The Office series finale will do tonight? There’s a retrospective special and then the final episode, I think.

If you can not see it how do you know he’s tired? You should be more of a rabid fan Meloni. Some fans Meloni, since he left, do not watch SVU more. And living badmouthing the series. Saying it sucks. Without ever having attended. SVU has been renewed and never had it so good. Kelly Gidish and Dani Pino are great in their roles. If Mariska Hargitay ( beautiful and talented ) leaving SVU I do not see it anymore. But do not come here to ask for its cancellation or say that the show sucks.
The purpose: Mariska is fantastic. And millions of fans love.

    Sorry my english.

  • PurpleDrazi

Looks like SVU needs to hire Erbe full time.

  • ashley

Hey Tom. You are an idiot.

while idol has drastically lost numbers over the years, it does still get good numbers. A new show gets praised for those type of numbers. It is still the only show that has a ton of success stories that have come out of it. Unlike any of the other copycat shows.

  • Peter

The Middle can’t even get 2.0. How sad and pathetic.

  • Andrew

Wow, even after cancellation HTLWYP(FTROYL) still pulls a 2. And it beat established comedy The Middle. It was definitely the surprise cancellation of the season in my opinion. TBS should pick up HTLWYP and pair it with Cougar Town. ABC should never premiere comedies again in April because no matter what they put, it won’t get higher than low 2s (which isn’t that bad) and it will ultimately fail. April or early May is the absolute worst time to premiere a new show (except for maybe December) because people are so saturated with watching other shows that are already in progress. At least in June TV viewers schedules empty out giving them a chance to follow a new show.

Speaking of Family Tools, I’m surprised it didn’t drop any further and stabilized at 1.2, still beating many episodes of Happy Endings, Apt 23 (RIP), and 1600 Penn. I suspect ABC will air the remaining episodes at 8:30 since Modern Family and The Middle will be going into repeats in their respective time slots anyway.

    sorry double post here

  • KevinY

The cancellation of HTLWYP proves that “retention” does in fact matter. The (2.0) it got last night was right on par with Don’t Trust the B from a year ago, and we saw how that show did this year without a strong lead-in. Still I’m sad to see How to Live canceled because I think the show is getting really good, I love Sarah Chalke.

  • KevinY

40-50 lbs are you kidding me? I think Leah Remini looks just fine. If she lost more than 20 lbs she’d be waif like.

  • Justin121

Re: How to Live With Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life)

Question is, why premiere a show this late, and not be satisfied with solid 2.0s?

What where they expecting premiering a brand new show that late in the Spring of the TV season, surrounded by repeats for a large chunck of its airings?

  • Justin121

Waiting for the third Chicago Fire spin-off:

    The Chicago Wife :D

  • Rebecca

    @KevinY
Maybe 10-20 pounds then. I was just saying to the other one she didn’t have to lose 200 pounds since that would be ridiculous. She’s not as big as she was when King of Queens ended. And nothing wrong with her now, really.
