The best show on tv just ended. R.I.P. The Office.

Am I reading this right? NO adjustment for an Idol finale?!

This makes their prospects for next year even worse! A season in which this year’s finale finished worse than the worst episode of last season (3.9/14.34 million). I don’t think that has EVER happened.

What a way to fall from the biggest tiger in the land to just another alley cat!

Fox is in deep trouble with American Idol aging badly. They have built almost nothing from the years of death star ratings and now must rely on expensive gambles (almost human) and short run serials. Fox destroyed its own money maker by overpaying for judges no one cared for and the producers drove away its core audience by having the weak panel of male singers.

Season 3 of scandal will be their biggest season, I predict..

That two for elementary shows how well POI has been performing and how poor and weak Elemntary really is.
Should have moved Elementary to Friday not HFO – they’ll be lucky to get it to syndication at all.
Great numbers for Scandal – this is now a true hit.

I agree with ALL that you say. And Scandal is dirty cheap. Only one actor from TAHM takes more then all scandal cast i guess. Only abiur elementary is good show and will go to syndication but on friday like BB can do this too.

NBC needs to stick a fork in Hannibal that ish is done!

TAAHM lost a large chunk of its fan base after Charlie left. A ton showed up to see how Ashton would do, but it dropped fast. It premiered to a 10.7 and lost half its audience within 5 episodes (7.4, 6.2, 5.9, 5.3). Even with TBBT lead in it premiered to a 3.5 and fell as low as a 2.8 this season. I’m guessing it will fall as low as 2.0 next season, but no lower.

TAAHM is lead in dependent now. It was strong years ago. It is no stronger than the CBS Monday sitcoms. It will die a slow painful death this season at 9:30 without TBBT lead in. Say goodbye to TAAHM. Next season will almost certainly be its last.

So long The Office, you will be missed…

  • Sunny

Sean Saves The World isn’t worthy to take over The Office time slot… I hate the “laugh track” so annoying…

  • MichaelChickless

    Go Hannibal!! ;-) :-)

  • Michael

There have been 29 episodes of SCANDAL so far. I think in August, ABC should run one episode every night at 10/9c. Perfect to catch up before the season premiere!

  • Jayson

Just a question, and probably a stupid one, but how can a person distinguish between a laugh track and a live audience laughing?

  • Michael

Pink and Alicia Keys would be great judges for American Idol.

  • Petar Ivanov

    @Patrick Ausgewahlt
I’m guessing it will fall as low as 2.0 next season, but no lower.

Are you kidding me? If TAHM drop to 2.0 CBS will start mass suicides. Partners was on that level and all partners cast, show and production company don’t take only ashton salary 700 000$ per episode.

    AWESOME for TVD 1.1

CW seriously renewed BATB for a full season. Damn CW is pathetic !!

  • zth

    @Patrick Ausgewahlt:

Yes, TAAHM premiered to a 3.5, ended with a 3.3, had 2.8 as a low and 4.4 as a high, with a season average of 3.80 (which means it was doing mostly high 3s, low 4s).

  • Samunto

It’s always interesting how TBBT gets adjusted up around 4 tenths.
Hannibal seems to have a core tiny loyal audience.

  • Billy

TAAHM indeed had those numbers you pointed out, but you fail to point out that it did it with the biggest lead in on all of TV. Lead in matters. It matters a lot. Most of those numbers TAAHM put up this season were thanks to TBBT lead in. TAAHM will not put up those numbers without the big lead in.

It is so odd for me to see SPN have more viewers than TVD.

Yes, TVD got the higher demo (which I know is all that matters), but I really never thought we would see this.

SPN got 2.31 million, TVD got 2.24 million.

So in terms of viewers, TVD came in 3rd this week behind Arrow and SPN. I think this really shows that TVD is not the powerhouse it once was.
