Wow I guess Hayes can start thanking disasters too, but Rachel cant! But again the non-news watchers turn to CNN for the disaster coverage which is not unexpected.

  • Laurence Glavin

Chris Hayes cracked the one-miilion total viewers barrier with tornado coverage. There was a big tune-in to all the cable networks that evening….MSNBC tends to pay the price for its weekend prison doc programming so that people think CNN for breaking news coverage.

  • SteveB

MSNBC briging up 3rd place..in the primetime hours….

But still a solid 4th in the Overall ratings for the Day..

MSNBC the wound that will never heal…

  • Laurence Glavin

I flipped to John Fugelsang on Current TV later on and he decided that he WOULD focus on politics with a little less humor than usual.

  • Mark

The key for MSNBC’s success was proved last night.

Stop parroting Far-Left Lunatic viewpoints and you will get more viewers.

  • Chriscee

Not even a tragedy can help msnBS anymore. Viewers turn to FOX & CNN for the REAL news.

  • Jeff

CNN destroys FOX news, and Fox is shiiii……Oh wait! Almost forgot……it takes Mother Nature or a Barack Obama election victory for that to happen.

  • Ratboy

I know I know the loons don’t have to say it. When the loons are losing in the polls Rasmussen sucks but when they are winning he does a good job!

After IRS, Benghazi scandals, public trust shifts to GOP

The Democratic Party’s edge over the GOP on who the public trusts more on ethics and corruption issues has flipped in the wake of the IRS and Benghazi scandals, according to Rasmussen Reports.

Not only do voters trust Republicans more now, they have their highest level of confidence in the GOP and the lowest level in Democrats in seven months.

While the Democrats had an eight-point “trust advantage” over Republicans a month ago, Rasmussen’s latest poll said that edge has disappeared and now the GOP has a two-point advantage.

“With growing questions about Benghazi and actions taken by the Internal Revenue Service and the Justice Department, Democrats’ noticeable edge over Republicans in voter trust in the area of government ethics and corruption has disappeared,” said Rasmussen.

In their latest poll, 39 percent of likely voters trust Republicans more to handle the ethics and corruption issue. Slightly less, 37 percent, still trust Democrats and 24 percent are unsure.

But, said Rasmussen, “this marks a big shift from March when Democrats held an eight-point trust advantage over the GOP – 42 percent to 34 percent. Now the president’s party trails by two. The newest finding is the highest level of confidence in Republicans and the lowest level for Democrats since October. It’s also the smallest gap between the two parties in nearly a year.”

I guess it runs in the family.

Tax-exempt Obama Foundation doesn’t exist at listed addresses

The “charity” run by President Barack Obama’s half-brother that was fast-tracked for IRS tax-exempt status is based at a Virginia UPS store, according to its website.

The organization’s IRS filings list another Virginia address that is actually a drug rehab center where the foundation does not appear ever to have been based.

The Barack H. Obama Foundation is run by Abon’go “Roy” Malik Obama, the half-brother of Barack Obama.

As first reported by The Daily Caller, the foundation was speedily approved for IRS exemption by Lois Lerner, the IRS senior official at the center of the targeting of conservative organizations that have waited over two years to receive tax exempt status. (RELATED: IRS official Lerner speedily approved exemption for Obama brother’s ‘charity’)

The charity was even given retroactive tax-exempt status despite never having bothered to apply for it. And its history of soliciting donations before receiving tax-exempt status was apparently overlooked.

The address listed on the site barackhobamafoundation.org is 107 S. West St. #401, Alexandria, Va., which houses a UPS store on a street that includes a tailor, a Catholic Charities thrift shop and a Gold Works jewelry store.

“They probably just rent a mailbox here or receive mail here,” said a UPS employee when asked if the store was the address for the Barack H. Obama Foundation. She did not know if Malik Obama, who his website says divides his time between Kenya and Virginia, had been in to the store.

A visit to the UPS store revealed that there is a mailbox numbered 401.

Anybody post the MASNB falls to a 7-year low in ratings yet?

NBC, thanks to MNSBC”s crappy ratings, are going to lose $100 million this year.

  • Jacob

  • Chriscee

Take Jeff with a grain of salt folks. I debunked him on the previous page…so he’s mad now….time to ignore his LIES. He doesn’t like it when he is called OUT ON HIS LIES.

MSNBC’s Schultz Admits He Doesn’t Know Much About ObamaCare, Still Fawns Over Law

You gotta love ol’ Ed Schultz. A recent demotion at the Lean Forward network hasn’t stopped the bombastic MSNBC host from sputtering over Republican opposition to ObamaCare, despite the fact that Schultz himself admits he doesn’t really know what’s in the bill.

Schultz was recently moved from his weeknight, primetime spot in MSNBC’s über-progressive lineup to weekends, a move sources at the network said would make space for “new talent.” The liberal host has since transformed his new weekend show into an hour-long advertisement for ObamaCare, gushing on Saturday’s The Ed Show that the law is “a great step forward to get us to universal health care some day.” [Yes, Ed, who owns a Canadian fishing lodge, is pining for Canada-style “single-payer” care.]

Schultz offered similar exaltations on Sunday, but then admitted that he doesn’t even know much about the massive legislation:

The bottom line here is that there is a lot of things about ObamaCare that I don’t know and I know you don’t know. And guess what, there’s a lot of people in the media that don’t know and there’s a lot of people in Congress that don’t know.

Of course, one member of Congress who doesn’t know what’s in the bill is House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who declared in 2010 that Congress had to pass ObamaCare to “find out what is in it.” Schultz himself brought up some important questions about the law that he doesn’t know the answers to, questions that he apparently can dismiss in the name of free health care for all.

And they ask in this flyer, “how will the exchange and federal subsidies work?” Do you know? Do you know how this exchange and these subsidies are going to work? I’m going to find out.

The other one was, “what are the tax implications?” What are they? Good, bad? Going to pay more, going to pay less? Is it going to help your business to have more people covered?

Despite these major underlying questions surrounding ObamaCare, and the dozens more that affect millions of hard-working Americans, Schultz berated Republicans for bringing up the very same concerns he voiced.

All we hear is ObamaCare sucks. All we hear is the negative from the Republicans, and dammit, we have to repeal it, because millions of people are going to lose their jobs. That is a lie.

Makes you wonder how Schultz can claim Republicans are lying about the effects of ObamaCare, when he a) doesn’t seem to have any more idea than Nancy Pelosi of what’s actually in the bill and b) seems to revel in his ignorance.

Quite ironic for a man who works for a company that gave us the iconic “The More You Know” campaign.

    MSNBC
    The Ed Show
    05/19/13
    5:06 p.m. Eastern

ED SCHULTZ: Let’s focus on “learn.” It’s an interesting word that Mitch McConnell used. Now, everybody’s backyard is different. I don’t know who your insurance company is. I will tell you mine. I have a North Dakota corporation that’s based in Fargo, it’s called Ed Schultz Broadcasting. It’s been in business since 2004 when I started my national radio show. And I have employees who have insurance. I have some that don’t. The bottom line here is that there is a lot of things about ObamaCare that I don’t know and I know you don’t know. And guess what, there’s a lot of people in the media that don’t know and there’s a lot of people in Congress that don’t know.

So I’ve got an interesting piece in the mail from my insurance company that I want to share with you. It says, “health reform answers personalized for your business.” And seeing that I am a capitalist and a businessman that employs people and actually meets payroll, I thought I’d look at this. And I did. And it says, “federal health reform is complex and means something different to every business.” That caught my attention. “Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Dakota has tools personalized to your individual business to help you navigate through the rules and decisions you are facing.” Folks, you and I have to engage. The government isn’t just going to show up and say, “here, here’s insurance.” That’s what Republicans want you to think. This is about you and I taking advantage of something that’s on the table.

And if you’re a business owner, a small business owner, I suggest that you pay close attention in your backyard, no matter – when I say backyard, I mean your state, your region, whoever your insurance company is. Now, it’s interesting. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Dakota, what they’re going to do is they’re going to do seminars around the state. And it just so happens that on Monday, June 27, in good ol’ Fargo, North Dakota – guarded by the eighth graders, I might say, little inside joke there – they’re going to have this seminar. And I’m going to go to it, because there are some basic questions that are going to be answered.

And they ask in this flyer, “how will the exchange and federal subsidies work?” Do you know? Do you know how this exchange and these subsidies are going to work? I’m going to find out. “Which business will be penalized for not providing employer-based insurance?” Another good question. The other one was, “what are the tax implications?” What are they? Good, bad? Going to pay more, going to pay less? Is it going to help your business to have more people covered? The other question interesting on this flyer was, “how does the number of employees affect health insurance decisions?”What does it mean if you have so many employees that are covered? “What does a competitive post-reform benefits package look like?” Nobody knows.

Speaking of learning, those five basic questions, I would venture to say that there isn’t a cable host, there is a network reporter that can say with conviction that they know the answers to every one of them. All we hear is ObamaCare sucks. All we hear is the negative from the Republicans, and dammit, we have to repeal it, because millions of people are going to lose their jobs. That is a lie.

  • BevAG

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said that the Democrats were going to “get rid of the culture of corruption”?????

In only six years the dictionary has a one-word definition for Democrat, which is “corruption.” Democrat and corruption are now synonymous.

Lois Lerner is taking the Fifth!!! lol So much for the transparent Obama Presidency.

  • Chriscee

Liberals are all coming out saying the same thing @RAT…Even top democrats are running from Obamacare. Max Baucus thinks it is a disaster. Sadly he should have said that BEFORE THE VOTE.

More and more Americans are finding out what it is all cracked up to be. Of course Obama gave the 3 or 4 good things to begin with. That was a deflection as to what is coming ahead.

But deflect deflect deflect is what Obama and liberals do best. LIES AND DEFLECTION….is all they have.

  • Jeff

Chriscee. Can’t provide answers to her claims. No alternatives. No proof
to more for less. No proof that Obama lies.

  • mary

What ever happened to Air America?

    Same song…last verse for MSNBC.

  • SteveB

Lois lane Lerner taking the 5th.. She finally decides to follow the Constitution…………….

  • Chriscee

Hi Bev…welcome back. Amazing…she waited until she was under the protection of Obama….then pleads the 5th.

All of these scandals will be the UNDOING and impeachment of Obama.

  • Jeff

@But deflect deflect deflect is what Obama and liberals do best. LIES AND DEFLECTION….is all they have

These are the void claims. No substance, no proof.
