Very disappointed, but not surprised, by the finale of The Rules of Engagement. Very predictable with every scene foreshadowed. Still some laughs, but I was hoping for a more original ending.

  • karin

    bye Revolution,thanks Castle

  • John A

Did CBS promote Rules as its Series Finale?

  • Babar Suhail

Mike and Molly repeat was also adjusted down a tenth.

  • Babar Suhail

    @John A
Nope, they called it the Season Finale in the promo. However, on the Facebook page, it was acknowledged as the series finale.

  • Britney

Yikes for H50! Sorry but a 2.0 isn’t good when you have NO competition, no offense to Revolution but for a season finale H50? And you can’t do better than that? I’ve been reading a lot of comments on how the finale was VERY disappointing. It’s looking like the Friday death slot is where it belongs.

  • MonkeyPaw

@Michael “Haha, I thought it was a new show”

It is a new show. But it was cancelled 6 months before it even aired.

GREAT FINALE for 5-0 last night !

It will do great on Friday night teamed with Blue Bloods – can’t wait !

  • The End

A 2.0 is fine for a 10pm show. Typically no network expects astronomical numbers at that time of night.

What you’re implying by saying “Thanks Castle” is that Revolution is bound for cancellation and it’s because Castle is stealing so much of it’s viewers/demo, which is not the case. Castle didn’t even air last night. I’m sorry to inform you, but Revolution has been renewed for a second season.

Modern Family reruns will air in The Family Tools’ place for the next 3 weeks.

  • forg

So i am looking at my cable guide and i see a Modern Family rerun scheduled in place of Family Tools. Did i miss the announcement or was this done quietly? Anyways yesssss!!!!!

The Futon Critic tweeted it yesterday and yes glad ABC did that finally, they would get bette ratings with MF rerun at 8:30

  • RJ

CBS had some advertisements with “series” and some with “season” for the finale of Rules of Engagement. Either way, I enjoyed the ending and am glad they wrapped up all the storylines.

A 2 demo for Hawaii 50 finale . Even worse than Castle last week.
This show will be crashed on Fridays by Shark Tank and Grimm. We all know how ratings suffer when a show is moved to Friday or Saturday, as we saw with CSI Miami and CSI NY. Hawaii 50 is weaker than those two, it will bomb on Friday. I expect a 1.1.

TitanTV is showing Family Tools tomorrow night in my listings. The EPG for my OTA affiliate concurs. But Zap2It’s listings show Modern Family “Mystery Date” instead.

  • Grace

I don’t think that will happen. BB is a better show than H50. Better plots and better acting. Actually BB will suffer because of H50.This remake will never be a good lead in.
And the finale was awful, as numbers prove. A repeat of Mike and Molly got better numbers. It cannot get any worse than that.

  • Paul

1.9 for Revolution, pretty good. For NBC it’s actually very good, it makes Revolution one of NBC’s highest rated shows. The last two episodes of the season should see an increase in ratings given that Castle and H50 already aired their finales. Also, it will be interesting to see how the show does in the 8:00 PM Wednesday time slot next season.

  • The End

@And the finale was awful, as numbers prove.

    The numbers weren’t awful though.

@It cannot get any worse than that.

Worse than what? So by your definition being outrated by a repeat is a bad thing? Jesus, by that logic, everything on Network TV is awful and Big Bang Theory is the greatest show ever to exist, ever because it rated a 4.8 recently.

    Stop talking please.

  • CBSviewer

Seriously CBS why did you treat Rules like that ? It was nice to give fans a final season of 13 episodes but the Finale was surrounded by repeats. I’m not shocked people did not tune in for it. I’m watching CBS a lot but Rules promotions were cery rare.

  • CBSviewer

    @ Grace

    It will bomb on Friday.

Of course it will. Hawaii Five-0 is a good Show but its ratings are too low for Friday. A 2.0 and 9 million viewers is not bad but it will never hold these numbers on Friday.

    I expect a 1.1.

Are you high ? I hope so because if not you are at best delusional. Hawaii Five-0 has a strong fanbase and I think fans will follow it everywhere. Yes it will fall but not to a 1.1. I expect a 1.8 for the premiere and around 1.5-1.6 for the rest of the season.
As I saud earlier it will be at CSI: NY level.
