TO ME STEVE WILL ALLWAYS BE JASON

  • GHFan

I used to LOVE GH, but it has become unwatchable since RC took over. It’s like I’m watching Passions! It’s lame, cliche and oh so predictable. To me, GH died when Steve Burton left. RIP GH.

  • PatF

    I don’t mind Burton.

What I do mind is the way Phelps has shoved his character down our throats almost every day.

  • bizzarr1000

watch out for her she pushes the vets out now we got more vets back on gh im a fan of the new aj and sonny im liking how dante is being used and i like seeing rafe molly it looks like kikie going to be a kid of the mob im a fan of the mob storyline

  • bizzarr1000

i think with the restart of oltl has hurt gh now that they recast star john and todd the fans liked them

  • Harlee

Steve Burton is ok…I’m like P …April was suppose to spotlight the character of Dylan and it was too much. He was on 14 straight in April, I was over the Ken\Cupcake Barbie show which they have no chemistry and that is showing some in ratings more in demos, we was positive now negative again.

I much rather see him & Chelsea at least some chemistry is happening…Steve Burton isn’t my cup of tea and he’s feeling the pressure from YR fans.

Now they have backed off of everyday showing Dylan character, mix in the vets and their are some damn good stories on canvas involving the vets. That’s what saves Steve but he’s not YR material…IMHO…I will trade you Burton for Rylan?

  • GHfan

    @ Harlee

I completely understand why SB is not a hit with Y&R fans. Just like GH, we have 3 OLTL actors that are being shoved down our throats. Great actors or not, it’s annoying and it takes away from the authentic feeling of our soaps.

I have more faith in Y&R then GH right now.

  • bizzarr1000

true ghfan i think big things are ahead for gh verry soon if we just wait steve will be jason allways

  • bizzarr1000

take rylan back i want jmb back she a better lulu i like rylan better on y&r

  • UmAnyways

I almost shed a tear when I saw Days numbers. wow!

  • cab

I have been a fan of Days for a very long time. I have noticed how different it has been. It is a mix of everything that you would want. Romance, mystery, action and suspense. It has the traditional aspects of a soap but also brings new inventive ideas to a soap. That is why its ratings keep steady or go up. NBC is a mess elsewhere with its schedule except for Days. It holds up or improves. I would not be surprised if the networks changed its methods of abtaining ratings that Days would rank even higher. It is the most recorded or downloaded(PVR) soap behind, yes behind Y&R and many other prime time shows. I know advertisers do not take this into account but they should as their advertisements are also recorded. Keep it up DAYS and NBC give it the respect it deserves.

  • Harlee

Hey, Days has quietly been turning into great entertainment after the Chloe\Dannifer mess, most everything else on canvas has been great soap! Days has had a great May sweeps and deserves to the credit & ratings they are showing viewers…AZ just ROCKS!…love me some Nicole.

Apparently there is supposed to be some kind of announcement made tomorrow (Tuesday) concerning one of the soaps. The guy that runs SON tweeted about something big coming on Tuesday or something that would shock fans. Many thought at first it was about AMC or OLTL but he later tweeted it wasn’t. But as far as I know didn’t say anything else. Many are speculating it has something to do with Days writing team. Just a few weeks ago Nelson Branco has a blind item in his newsletter that one of the soaps was getting a new writing team.

If it is Days I cannot believe they would change teams again this soon.

  • JayTN

Mike…usually a soap gets rid of a writing team when ratings are bad (i.e. the recent axing of AMC and OLTL’s writers by Prospect Park). There usually isn’t a reason to make a change when things are going good (the old adage “don’t fix what isn’t broken” comes to mind). While “Days” ratings could be better – so could the ratings for all of the other soaps – they really aren’t bad enough to warrant a writing regime change.

I don’t pay much attention to the soap press, but if Branco thinks it is a writing team and the people who run SON say that it would “shock” fans…would firing Tomlin & Whitesell really be “shocking”? It may be a bit usual, but I wouldn’t call it shocking. To me, a shocking writing change would be over at B&B. According to Wikipedia, Bell has been the head writer at B&B since 1993, and executive producer since 1995. Maybe Bell is ready to hang up his writer’s pen after 20 years at the helm? It will probably be something as mundane as “Days” firing their team, but – at least, in my opinion – I would not be “shocked” by that news.

  • GHfan

Hopefully GH will get a new team or a least a co-headwriter for RC. RC is all over the place and could use some help sorting out his ideas on paper rather than on screen.

  • Harlee

WOW! It’s not B&B, Bell owned soap, but Days which I could see because it took them way too long to get where they are because of Dannifer tragedy and maybe they would put Lorraine B. as HW and changing the some the writing staff which actually could be a plus, to add better elements on the solid base that Tomplin\Whitesell finally found and then maybe Sony is feeling the heat once again from NBC. You know how NBC always meddle (which they don’t have a good record) or could Sony have MAB placed w\Lorraine B as HW? That would raise some eyebrows…hmmmm quite interesting development, got to keep checking. I just hope isn’t Dena Higley again….geez.

  • jonboyelk

Hope the announcement has to do with the mess my GH has become since the 50th celebration.

  • Harlee

I just don’t think ABCD will make a change right now on GH….sorry to hear how you feel jonboyelk, because i know the feeling with YR and under MAB…it’s frustrating and maddening to say in the least. GH is beating the The View in demos now, ABCD has big problems brought on my by Brian F, & Anne S., they are the ones responsible for destroying ABC daytime.

  • lampshade

@JayTN. I agree with you, although DOOL is far from perfect it is showing signs of recovery. It would make no sense in changing the writers yet again. Sadly TPTB seem to want instant success, but soap plots and character loyalty take time to build-six to eight months just isn’t long enough.

  • jonboyelk

@Harlee I quit Y&R bc of MAB and what she did to the show and returned when I learned she was out. As for GH I had such high hopes with RC bc of the way he wrote OLTL but, in my opinion, that hasn’t translated to GH. The show seems totally disjointed with one-dimensional characters….and way too many of them. I’m hanging in but the interest is rapidly waning.
