    yay nashville!

now the season is done. hopefully the show can build buzz over the summer and come back strong. hope the production on the show figures out any issues they reportedly have (the show MUST continue to be show in nashville) so the show can truly hit its potential next season.

  • Blue Sunflower

Jeez. Barely 11 million for Criminal Minds. It’s looking at single digits as a standard next year for sure.

  • Steph

Good for Criminal Minds. Still don’t know why it was 2 hours. The first hour had nothing to do with the second, but oh well. It was still good.

  • Charmed

Wow Nashville beat CF by 0.2! I know CF was against CM, but still.

  • Michael

Wow, CF did NOT build on its lead in, as so many people thought.

  • Michael

Wow, both Scandal and Nashville finales did great for ABC!

  • Justin121

Amazing that Nashville started the season with a 2.0 and is ending at 1.9.

I’ve never seen any show this steady the entire time I followed ratings.

    Especially freshman shows.

‘Jeez. Barely 11 million for Criminal Minds. It’s looking at single digits as a standard next year for sure.’

Jeez how viewers numbers are meaningless….

  • SB

@Blue Sunflower – Geez, enough already, all they did was win the night in viewers and be #2 in the demo for CBS drama finales.

  • CBSviewer

It was one of the best episode season finale of SVU. Glad it went up in the finals :)

  • CBSviewer

*One of the best season finale of SVU, sorry ;)

  • Bri

glad to see Criminal Minds was adjusted up. It is up from last week, and finish the season as the # 2 drama on CBS. Not bad for a 8 years old show!

  • robin

Nashville started the season with 2.8 not 2.0

‘@Blue Sunflower – Geez, enough already, all they did was win the night in viewers and be #2 in the demo for CBS drama finales.’

CM was the reason CBS could compete last night with ABC and CBS. CM had unadvertised reruns as a lead in and still did drag CBS to be #2 for the night.

I know the premiere had a 2.8 but after that it was 1.7-2.0 for the entire September to May period. 9 months.

Scandal was at 1.9-2.0 during its first season but that was only April to May, 7 episodes.

Shocked that Nashville beat CF. Agree that CM hurt CF. If it was a rivalry, it is over due to change in timeslots. CF should do great on Tuesday’s after The Voice. Obviously love CF so expect several seasons to come. Tried Nashville. Hated it. Country music and a soap opera, no thanks to either. Know many who watch CF, nobody who watches Nashville, then again I live in the northeast where country music is not very popular.

Unfortunately, the Season Finale doesn’t seem to have many positive opinions by many of the fans or critics. It was very cliche and rushed.

  • iMember

Talking about Nashville’s season finale by the way!

  • Birdie

I see the Criminal Minds apologists are out. Criminal Minds 2.8 demo matches their LOWEST demo mark for last season. That 11 million viewers is lower than any episode from Season7 (Season 7 finale, 3.6 demo/13.68 million). Without taking into consideration last night’s data, Criminal Minds is running at about 14% decrease in total viewers from last season as compared to NCIS’ 2% decrease (which may not even be 2% as the data from NCIS’ finale is not taken into consideration). Paget Brewster leaving, Jeanne Tripplehorn meh presence, and continued lame stories (Beth, the transformation of JJ & come on, it took them this long to figure the Replicator was an insider?) have hurt the show.
