In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:

Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Any chance the CW will air Nikita’s final season sometime during the week out of curiosity to see how the ratings will be?

  • josh2770

no it would not air this week they just had the season 3 finale the earliest they might have it is in july-august but probally september ;)

  • sylvie

Without CSI NY is very boring night !!!! Even if it was a re-run CSI NY always won the night , I’m noy the only one who miss CSI NY on friday night CBS too !!!!!

  • Brandy

@Brandon, no.Its too low rated. It seems to me that it’s audience wasn’t loyal enough to follow it to fri, so I doubt they’ll follow it if it goes to a weekday & goes up against much harder completion (Voice,NCIS,Big Bang, Scandal ) & they have to choose which to watch and what to DVr/watch online/onDemand or skip.SPN was moved off fri to a weekday because even on fri, it rated as well or better than some of thier other shows and managed to remain 2-3 highest rated show on cw even after moving to fri.Thats not the case with Nikita.Nikitas going to be in its final season so why move it?Its not going to grow as its three seasons in and searilized , so why move it.Ratings won’t matter as it’ll be it’s final season, so why bother moving it.Its ratings wouldn’t Likley be better and would more Likley be hurt. Its been on Fri for two seasons, the viewers are familiar with this, so why change it?It was moved to fri cause it underperformed in season one and with its ratings far worse now,why would they move it?.Cult did the same 0.2-0.3 on Tues and was moved quickly to fri.Carrie Diaries did 0.3-0.4 the last half of season one and it was moved to fri.Why ,if they’re moving shows getting the same ratings as Nikita on a weeknight to fri, would they move Nikita?Fris lower rating expectations have helped Nikita survive as long as it did.Plus it’s genre show and fri is a genre show night.

@Brandon, plus, The 100 & StarCrossed will premire at Midseason and will get a Mon-Thurs slot, with StarCrossed possibly taking over for Reign and the 100 taking either Originals or Tommorow People spot. They also have Famous in 12 weeks that could get a regular weekday spot if a new show boms right away (Cult,Beautiful Life,H8tr,) or could go on Fri.So theyres be no room for Nikita on a weekday with Arrow,SPN,VD,BatB,HoD all having full seasons and The Originals,Reign,, Tomorrow People,The Hundred ,Star Crossed most having 13 episodes to also take the rest of the weekday timeslots.Pedowitz for sure Reign,The 100,Carrie Diaries will be only 13 episodes and in order to get The 100 Hundred & StarCrossed on Midseason, only one of the new shows can get a full season and I believe that will be The Originals.

What the hell are you talking about you think fridays is easier to air on than on the weekdays. What warped mind do you get that idea from. Look at every show being moved to friday ALL go lower than they were on the weekday. So its basically not rocket science that Nikita would rise in viewers and demo on a normal weekday. But i guess its rocket science for you ;-)

  • Loki

Just for YOUR information Nikita also did better than TSC and BatB after TVD. But CW threw Nikita to the wolves it never had a chance. BatB should also be moved to friday with its pathetic 0.5 after TVD. But it does not get thrown to the wolves like Nikita did with better ratings.

Those Shark tank rerun ratings are something else. :) I didn’t watch, but good to see.
