Definitions:

DVR (Time-shifted) Adults 18-49 Ratings – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data LiveLive+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs.

Live+Same Day(Live+SD) ratings include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing.

Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

DVR Ratings Increase Past Airdate - How many people watched the show on their DVRs within 7 days following the airdate

Until the 2009-2010 season, we used a show's LIVE program rating or viewership as the base upon which the LIVE+7 day DVR viewing was added. Now, the press seems to be standardizing around using LIVE+SAME DAY DVR viewing as the base for the calculations, so that's what we do now as well.

I just realized Grimm, a Friday show, beat Nashville. Kind of funny

I guess most people watch Scandal live that week. The show has a strong following but I’m surprised it doesn’t grow much with live +7 day week to week

  • tra

    Once demo ?

  • Melissa

    @Robert

I know it’s a long shot, but do you know the Live+7 demo number for the Bones finale (4/29)?

  • Tea

    Go greys still strong :)

  • Mari

Way to go Castle! And really great numbers for Hannibal as well. Please NBC renew it!!

  • lostboy

So happy Revolution has a loyal fan bas,e to bad they don’t watch live. Hat’s off to Scandal as some one said it must be must see tv. I hope in the next year the so called major networks figure it out most viewers are not watching live tv with the invention of DVR. The network my want to try another family instead of the Nielson’s, maybe a DVR tracking device. This is not the 70s’. 80s, 90s or early 21st century to many shows getting axed because of good cable shows, HBO, Show Time, and FX., Now A&E, The History Channel wake up networks
    SAVE HANNIBAL NBC
Little known fact, Facts of Life premiered 1978/79 to 3million viewers the following year NBC did not cancel the show, they re-tooled the show grew to 12 to 14 million viewers the following year. Facts of Life 9 seasons on NBC 14 million Viewers when the show ended 1987. CMON NBC You Take The Good You Take The Bad let Hannibal live,. Gamble on this show.

The gains Revolution shows are somehow reasuring for the move to Wednesday, yet it doesn’t mean it will be a success: some of the people that watch it time shifted might prefer to watch it at 8 on Wednesday rather than Mondays at 10, so it MIGHT work, but we’ll have to see, as we know about many time shifted shows that are not beneffited from moves (for instance: Up all Night, Fringe)

  • were123

By the way, weird not to see OUAT in the list, maybe it got a 0.7 increase, meaning a 3.0.
I hoped that more people watched the Revenge finale, but a 2.5 is fine for me, the rest will have time to catch up in the summer. Crossing my fingers for a good season 3 premiere :)

  • JR35

Yah, is this the first time Once isn’t in the top 25?

FYI- the period covered was May 6-12, not 1`3. :)
