Bpdy of Proof Daddy Issues Poll

Body Of Proof's series finale airs tonight. Some of our commenters think its ratings should have earned it another season. It has always been a show that performed far better among total viewers than all-important adults 18-49 demographic. Its most recent episode, two weeks ago, garnered a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating. Tonight, it has the disadvantage of airing after the season has finished, when many people have essentially forgotten about broadcast TV for the summer. On the other hand, its only new broadcast competition is the first episode of the reality series Brooklyn D.A. So how do you think it will do? Make your prediction.

Although I didn’t watch BOP I can empathize with its fans. Like Harry’s Law it was well viewed except in the all important 18-49 demo. So like myself if your 50 or over the advertisers don’t really care what you watch. I’m guessing 1.6-1.7 for its finale tonight.

  • Lisa

Maybe a 1.3. I don’t envision this show shooting up for its final episode. I enjoyed the first two seasons, not that this series was ever great, but it was a nice time-filler. Then the third season was a real disappointment due to bad casting changes and poor writing. I’ll keep watching to see how it ends anyway.

  • rob60990

    1.2

  • TJ

Hoping for a 1.7, but will likely be a 1.4. Season 3 has been exceptional and the show definitely does not deserve to be canceled. Fingers crossed ABC finally realise what a mistake they have made.

  • Grey

I almost totally forgot the finale is tonight. I suspect many others will as well. Finales and sweeps are over and done with in most people’s minds. 1.2 to 1.3.

  • Billy

BODY OF PROOF is one of the BEST shows on TV! If you love CASTLE and HOUSE, then you will love BODY OF PROOF! PLEASE WATCH LIVE tonight so the ratings rise and ABC uncancel. Please don’t let all these good shows go down the drain.

  • Cyrax86

Such a heartbreaking poll, this show should have been on for two more full seasons… :( I’ll go with a 1.3…

  • NBC Fan

    Extreme Weight Loss-1.5
    Body of Proof-1.3

    Brooklyn DA-0.9

So You Think You Can Dance-2.1

    The Voice-3.3

  • Fake Me Out

How can we guess the series finale numbers when we don’t even know which cable channel is picking it for next season yet?! ;-) Or ABC pulls an Unforgetable

  • Terry

    BOP 1.2

Will The Voice fall below 3.0 tonight?

  • FX

TOP 20 SHOW FOR TOTAL AUDIENCE. IA AM OLDER THAN TARGET GROUP AND STILL BUY A LOT OF STUFF. I MEAN A LOT OF STUFF. WHY ARE WE NOT CONSIDERED BY ADVERTISERS. REALLY THOUGHT THIS WAS A GREAT SHOW. TO BAD I DON’S SPEND ANY MAONEY I MY OLD AGE. L.O.L.

  • Mayton

    I predict :

    7.6 in 18-49 demo

    28 million viewers

  • lancelot48

I like BOP but the supercilious “know it all” attitude as portrayed by Dana Delaney annoys the heck out of me.

  • Funeral Dinner

@Fake Me Out – no cable channel is picking it up, ABC refuse to let anyone else continue the show.
I think it’ll probably pull a 1.3, the overall viewers were always about 2 million lower when DWTS wasn’t on before BoP.

  • david

TNT and WGN america were thinking about picking it up but i guess they decided not too. Oh and my guess is 1.5.

  • Samunto

    A 1.5 is possible.

  • João Paulo

    I think 1.5

  • Liam

I think the show will get 8 million viewers and a 1.3 in the demo. The week off will hurt the ratings. I hope it doesn’t drop below a 1.2.
I would love the show to go out high, but it wont. Shame to see it go. Hopefully we get some sort of closure in the finale.

  • TV Viewer

I could be wrong, but, I doubt if any series cancelled in 2013 had great ratings for the series finale. CSI:NY, Golden Boy, Rules of Engagement, Vegas, Smash, the Touch, the Cleveland Show (to name a few examples), all had forgettable ratings for the last episode. It’s not likely that the last episode of Body of Proof will do any better than any other program cancelled in 2013.

  • Greg

Can’t believe NBC’s wasting The Voice with reruns. Good God, NBC sucks.

Anyway, Body of Proof: 1.4. It’s competing against nothing.
