    SNF rules !!

  • Cath

    The wonder of those numbers is that the NCIS numbers are extremely close to Sunday Night Football’s numbers. Pretty amazing for a show that has been on that long.

  • CP

    If only they cared about total viewers. Vegas would still be around. :(

  • Drago

    How to Live > Nashville!

  • TV Viewer

    Vegas (21), CSI: NY (26), and Body of Proof (34) had good total viewers numbers, but, as the fans of Harry’s Law can tell anyone; total viewers don’t mean much when the show does not do that well with the 18 – 49 demo that the advertisers (and the networks) care about so much.

  • Jiji Moran

    Weird that “48 Hours” is the 85th rated program, yet it wins it’s timeslot week after week.

  • DenverDean

    SNF also aired at least two or three games outside of the regular season, which are counted. If only the “in-season” games are included, NCIS wins.

  • JR35

    Another case of total viewers not meaning squat: Malibu Country averaging 7m total, slightly more than Nashville and other renewed shows.

  • rob60990

    Revenge > Scandal again. This never gets old. :D

  • Anna Bones Clarkwood

    Personally, I think CBS, ABC & FOX don’t need to worry about total viewers as potential viewers tune into the network for more than 2 shows like on NBC (SNF/Voice).

    I wasn’t here to read last years Harry’s Law total viewership, but NBc is having a hard time getting anyone to try their shows. So, having 1 hour for the older set, that didn’t have CW like demo numbers, would probably help the network.

    CBS is so good they can be picky.
    FOX could use a little help, but they don’t have enough room & they have the market for 18-34.
    ABC has shows everyday that people tune into, DWTS/Castle, DWTS, Modern Family, Grey’s, Shark Tank, OUAT plus very few individual shows below 5mil total, means they can be picky as well. Besides, being 4th, means that they need to get demo watching.

    NBC only has SNF & Voice/RVN, while they are very broad appealing & to different subsets, the rest of the week/timeslots don’t have anything having a lot of viewers, demo or otherwise, tuning in to the show that night in order to have people decide to stick around & try a new show. The rest of the week for NBC is tune in for your established fav show & back to another channel for the rest of the night. Or worse, dvr NBC & watch it w/o commercials after prime time ends/done watching other channels live shows.

    If NBC gets another “Harry’s Law”, & they are in a very similar situation aka NEW shows aren’t getting enough of a look, they should really rethink cancelling the new “Harry’s Law” just b/c demo is below avg. I’m not saying that they should keep CW type demo, but even a 1.0 with 10+mil viewers, seems like it is worth keeping, 1 or 2 max shows around, until the Network is healthier viewership wise.

    ABC is def correct in letting go BOP. They don’t need the viewers & the demo just wasn’t quite high enough. Even if Nashville only lasts 2 seasons, they still made the right call.

    CBS was right in letting go of Vegas/CSI:NY. They don’t need the viewers & the demo, for their network, wasn’t good enough for them.

  • TheFrenchGuy

    I know viewership is irrelevant but I’m glad CSI: NY went up (from 10.34 million to 11.27 million). Good for the NCIS duo :)

  • Jacob

    The thing is total viewership is totally irrelavant. What NBC needs is a good comedy, there dramas are good but sitcoms suck ratings wise

  • JacobYates

    @rob60990
    Yes it does.

    This never gets old

    Yes, it does.

    Go POI!

  • Azzman

    Where are they getting some of these episode counts? I don’t recall 30 eps of BBT! And how is Elementary’s avg viewers so high? They never had 1 episode of 12 mil so how can they avg it?!

  • xwiseguyx

    I think people forget about the revenue ABC makes for those downloading the music from Nashville as well…

  • Jacob

    @Azzman

    (33 weeks of Live+7 Day and 2.5 weeks of Live+Same Day ratings)

    So that include any repeats

  • Linda

    apparently the number of telecasts are based on some reruns on weekly series, not fair to compare those to only live broadcast shows. reruns always bring down the average, also, I think the total count must include the 3 day DVR viewing too, which is fair.

  • Sarah

    I’m happy that Bones moved up (6 spots from #48) from last season. :)

  • Melissa

    @rob60990

    Again, L+SD: Scandal (7.52m) > Revenge (6.98m)
