LOS ANGELES – May 29, 2013 – TVGN today announced that it will become the exclusive television destination for Big Brother: AFTER DARK,  the live, late night companion show to CBS's BIG BROTHER, one of television's most addictive and socially engaged reality series.

BIG BROTHER: AFTER DARK will feature a curated live feed from inside the BIG BROTHER house for two hours, seven nights a week (12:00-2:00 AM, live ET/delayed PT) for 13 weeks beginning Wednesday, June 26. In addition, BIG BROTHER: AFTER DARK telecasts on TVGN will be cross-promoted on-air within the BIG BROTHER broadcasts on the CBS Television Network.  BIG BROTHER: AFTER DARK previously aired for seven seasons on the premium cable network Showtime.

“BIG BROTHER is one of television’s longest-running reality series with a loyal audience, and we are excited to bring BIG BROTHER: AFTER DARK to TVGN where fans can watch all summer long,” said Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment and Media, TVGN. “When the sun goes down and the cameras are still rolling, some of the best reality TV moments come to life, and we expect this season of BIG BROTHER: AFTER DARK to deliver more jaw-dropping action available only on TVGN.”

Now entering its 15th season, BIG BROTHER on the CBS Television Network will have a longer edition this summer with the new season premiering on Wednesday, June 26 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT). It will be broadcast three nights weekly: Tuesdays (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT, beginning July 2); a live eviction show hosted by Julie Chen on Wednesdays (9:00-10:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT, beginning July 3); and Sundays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT, beginning June 30). The Wednesday live eviction show will move to 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT on July 17.

BIG BROTHER: AFTER DARK gives fans of the popular reality series an intimate, late night look at life in the ‘Big Brother House.’ The show features a curated live television feed from inside the house, where nothing is sacred and anything goes.

BIG BROTHER follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with more than 53 cameras and 97 microphones, recording their every move 24 hours a day.  Each week, the House Guests will vote someone out of the house.  At the end, the last remaining House Guest will receive the grand prize of $500,000.

BIG BROTHER is executive produced by Emmy® Award-winning producer Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan for Fly on the Wall Entertainment, in association with Endemol U.S.A.

Be nice if article detailed TVGN stands for TV Guide Network. I wish they’d just do away with the after dark show so there would be no spoilers.

  • Chris

It doesn’t stand for TV Guide Network anymore.

  • Anthony

@pooty Even if they did that, spoilers would still get out. You can subscribe to the live feeds online.

  • SVU: Hannibal

Yay, now i dont have to subscribe to shotime this summer, and i have a regular show to fall asleep to.

  • Recollected

Does anyone actually watch this channel? According to Wiki, they have two reality series – one about a nail salon and one about a 90s female pop trio. Interesting.

  • Recollected

Correction: they only have two original series and the rest are acquired…which are still some unknown titles to me. :x

  • pooty

    Anthony, is that free?

Re spoilers….im an avid BB fan and I’ve learned to steer clear of all things BB related on the net while the show is airing.

  • pooty

Is TVGN the station that does the award show red carpet coverage?

  • Yorky

It was refreshing to watch the show on a premium network. Now i’m guessing everything will be bleeped out.

  • Anthony

@pooty No it’s not free same as showtime.

  • TV Addict

Remember when you had to go to this channel to see what was on or you had to check the newspaper? Gosh, how did we live back then?

  • pooty

Anthony, then how will they have a feed that costs and one that doesn’t on TVGN? I’m suprised they even greenlit an after hour show. Every season, something comes to surface that reignites scipted and conspiracy theories.

  • dan

i guess no sex on bb ad

  • Dillon

Ugh this sucks. BBAD on Showtime was great without the bleeping out of curse words, and nudity. It lasted 3 hours as well. If it isn’t the same as it was on Showtime, I’ll bail as a viewer.

  • Ravenrei

It’ll be interesting to see if they censor anything. Of course, I wouldn’t be surprised if they made this move simply because CBS now has a stake in TVGN. They own Showtime, too, but this is their new baby and I’m sure they’d like to get more traffic its way.

@pooty: Both the live feed and TVGN technically cost the viewer subscription fees, so either way CBS wins.

  • pooty

    Ravenrei, thank you.

  • lori

this will SUCK becuz I loved BB after dark on showtime…seeing raw & real was the best they better not BLEEP out all the good stuff or I will quit watching altogether I don’t know how anyone enjoyed the show without afterdark it was totally addicting for my husband & me – our guilty pleasure was afterdark – the rated R version!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • teresa

what channel is Big Brother After Dark if you have Grande Communications?

  • pete

Well this article is wrong..their bleeping

  • Judy

The above comment by Brad Schwartz is completely misleading. BBAD premiered last night on TVGN. It was censored so poorly that entire sentences were excluded making plot development impossible and frustrating to follow. I am an avid BB fan and look forward every summer to watching the after dark drama unfold. What brainiac came up with this poorly thought out idea of removing BBAD from Showtime. The extreme poor visual without HD is another irritant. I could maybe overlook the visual if we could only hear what is happening. Think radio in the 30’s. The only reason I was remotely interested in the prime time show was because I became so invested in the cast’s true personalities as they were revealed on the After Dark show. Badly done CBS!!!!
