CNBC Pulls 'Crowd Rules' From Schedule

After just two airings, CNBC has pulled competitive reality series Crowd Rules from its schedule, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Crowd Rules premiered to 47,000 total viewers and12,000 in the adults 25-54 demographic on May 14. Its second episode retained all of its adults 25-54 ratings, but declined to 42,000 total viewers. Though the show is no longer on CNBC's schedule, it is not officially canceled.

    No show is ever really canceled. "Unforgettable" returns to the CBS line-up at the end of July with new episodes. Last year, I fought a one-man battle to renew the show, others here laughed at me, but the following week after the cancellation news, CBS announces that the show would return this summer.

    At last, a show in Cablenewsland is offed due to low ratings. It seems that the dip in total viewers was the last straw. Total viewers matter!! :lol:

    WNET, the PBS station in New York City, has placed ads on buses and subways making fun of “reality shows” that don’t REALLY exists but COULD exist in the current environment. It looks as though “Crowd Rules” demonstrates that there is a lower limit to this type of programming.
