  • Jamie

    The CW Wednesdays repeats better than most CW originals

  • Branbran

    Wow for masterchef

  • Michael

    WOW, MASTERCHEF!

  • Robert Ford

    So HTLWYP has 100% retention from MF, and the people who were citing its retention will go back to citing the absolute ratings it’s getting in the summer, which are relatively low compared to most regular-season ratings.

  • Survivor Fan

    MasterChef rises throughout the season. It will be hitting a 3.0 in July.

  • charmedcraft

    Good for CW

  • rob60990

    we’re never going to get rid of Gordon Ramsey.

  • The End

    @rob60990

    His shows are pretty awesome though, he brought the trainwreck known as Amy’s Baking Company to light with his Kitchen Nightmares series. Hells Kitchen is good for a laugh or two too, you know when he’s going to go nuts when someone serves raw food.

    I hope he stays around for a while.

  • GARebelman

    Masterchef doing well. Was not fond of some of the changes such as sending people home mid cooking, that was strange. And not even bothering with half of them forcing half of them to waste their food. Also I am sure the Walmart product placement drives people nuts

  • MichaelChickless

    That Gordon Ramsay could be a one-man network.

  • JONNYSBRO

    I really wish another network would pick up how to live or maybe put this midseason.

  • Steve

    I’d rather have Gordon Ramsay than Ryan Seacrest!

  • Nick

    If MasterChef was a adjusted up, shouldn’t it be a 2.3 not a 2.1 since in the preliminary ratings it was a 2.2

  • TVMAN

    I think Neighbors should’ve gotten cancelled & HTLWP got renewed

  • JacobYates

    How to Live and Family tools both have 100% retention. Where are the Retentionistas?

  • Christian

    @Nick

    That 2.2 prelim was the average for both hours (i.e., it got a 2.0 and 2.4)

  • The End

    @TVMAN

    Nah. It’s clear now that the show was being held up by Modern Family. When you look at it from that perspective, renewing it wouldn’t make much sense.

    The show went from 6.26 million 2.1/6 18-49 last week to this. It’s clear that Modern Familys Nielsen viewers aren’t interested in the show when Modern Family isn’t on the air even.

  • Vcoolwater

    Retention almost never plays a part in renewal. The fact that how to live… got same demo rating as a modern family repeat is a moot point. The fact is the show is lead-in dependent. The show would sink without modern family – original or repeat.

    Plus I think neighbors will s better on Fridays than how to live

  • omabin

    I really don’t get the How to Live cancelation. I find no way to explain it other than ownership but that really doesn’t make a lot of sense, because then why even bother premiering shows produced by other studios?

  • The End

    @Vcoolwater

    Entirely correct, the show just never found a loyal enough audience. Any show with an audience wouldn’t experience a huge drop in viewers when a monster lead in isn’t airing new episodes.
