Miami – June 3, 2013 – Mexican actor Carlos Villagrán, who became famous for playing Quico on the popular series “El Chavo del 8,” will visit Telemundo’s morning show “Un Nuevo Día” this Wednesday, June 5 (7:00 am ET/ 6C). During his visit, Villagrán will participate in a surprise reunion which will take viewers back to the best moments of “El Chavo del Ocho.”
As portrayed by Villagran for decades, Quico is one of the most popular and beloved characters in the history of Latin American television. Generations of viewers have grown up with this peculiar character, whose phrases “Chusma, chusma, pfffft!,” (Rabble, rabble, pffft)“Te voy a acusar con mi mamá,” (“I’m gonna tell my mom on you”) and “Cállate, cállate que me desesperas”, (“Shut up, shut up! You are getting on my nerves!”) are well known all over North, Central and South America.
“Un Nuevo Día” is a morning show hosted by Azucena Cierco, Rashel Díaz, Omar Germenos, Adamari López, Daniel Sarcos and Alessandra Villegas that offers an ideal mix of information, entertainment, health tips, humor, beauty and fashion, spiced up with the special recipes of Chef James and the latest national and international news updates from Ramón Zayas. “Un Nuevo Día” airs live for three hours Monday through Friday starting at 7 am/6 C.
