The highlight of the season for “American Idol” was when former AI contestant Kelly Pickler won “Dancing with the Stars.” Maybe one of this season’s female contestants can play Raj’s new girlfriend on “The Big Bang Theory” next season, because that’s their best shot at stardon. How long has it been since AI produced a contestant who can come up with a top 40 hit, without premiering it on AI?

I don’t know how long FOX is going to keep airing this dying show, I wish they would’ve just let it go out on top. Even a 2.0 in the ratings wouldn’t mean certain death (to this show) if FOX was still making a profit off it.

Maybe, hopefully maybe, reality shows, singing and dance shows have peaked. How many more “cheap” shows, with the “stars” cross their arms pose, can you watch. Cheap to make and growing old, they have cut out the need for great scripts and writers. Big Bang is at a crossroads and will have to introduce some new situations for the cast. The meal, love and not love relationships have all been well done from so many angles it will be tough to stay on top without some new blood and at the same time not ruin the cohesive cast that made this such a great hit.
