Revolution - Season 1

via press release:

NBC is #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and every other key category, with an 87 percent margin over #2 in 18-49 (with a 2.8 rating vs. a 1.5 for ABC), winning six of six half-hours.  "The Voice" and "Revolution" ranked as the #1 and #2 shows of the night on those networks in 18-49.
  • From 8-10:01 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (3.2 rating, 9 share in adults 18-49, 11.1 million viewers overall) won its time period in every key demographic among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, leading the slot in 18-49 by a margin of 88 percent versus ABC's "Bachelorette" (3.2 vs. 1.7).  "The Voice" is currently matching the prior week's 3.2 in official nationals and is up 3 percent versus last week's 3.1 in these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings.  In total viewers, "The Voice" is at a three-week high, up by 1 percent versus last week's official-national result (11.050 million vs. 10.999 million).
  • Note that every regular "Voice" telecast during this cycle has grown by 0.1-0.2 of a rating point going from these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings to official nationals.
  • From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "Revolution" (2.0/5 in adults 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall) is up 5 percent in 18-49 rating versus last week's 1.9, to hit its highest rating in four weeks (since May 6) and tie its top rating since April 8, pending updates.   The first season finale of "Revolution" is #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, as well as adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and most other key demographics.
  • Note that “Revolution” is a highly time-shifted show, with the prior week's telecast growing by 66 percent when going from these next-day "live plus same day" ratings (1.90) to its "live plus three day" result (3.16), making last week's telecast the top-rated "Revolution" in "L+3" since April 8. The gain of 1.26 rating points going from L+SD to L+3 was "Revolution's" biggest increase since its fall finale on November 26.

Good!!! It was a great episode.

There was no competition, so being #1 is not very hard. Being up 5% is also not that hard when you are so low. Considering the lead-in, the lack of competition, and the fact it was the season finale, this is a very weak showing. It also proves that NBC was correct about the hiatus being necessary. Otherwise this would have been closer to a 1.5. I like how the nets ‘cook’ the numbers for shows they want to survive.

The episode was pretty good up until the end, at which point the writers marched in a few plot holes the size of the moon, and then it ended. I cannot say more until a spoiler thread is launched though.

rgxx – That is 8 p.m. I am sure you would have found it though. ;)

Chris – depends on what time zone RGXX is in.
