    *GOODBYE, 15,000: STOCKS SUMMER SCARE…
    Global Stocks Tumble as Treasuries Rally, Yen Strengthens
    Thursday could be worse

    Dow Minus 216 today

    Stocks tumbled, sending U.S. benchmark indexes to one-month lows, while Treasuries rallied as investors weighed weaker-than-forecast employment growth and prospects for Federal Reserve stimulus plans. The yen strengthened and shares plunged in Japan.

    The MSCI All-Country World Index lost 1.5 percent at 4 p.m. in New York, its worst drop since April 15. The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index lost 1.4 percent, extending its decline from a May 21 record to 3.6 percent, while emerging market equities slumped to a six-month low. The yen gained versus all 16 major peers and the Topix stock index sank 3.2 percent, extending its slid since May 22 to almost 15 percent. The Dollar Index fell 0.2 percent and 10-year Treasury yields decreased six basis points to 2.09 percent, declining from near a 14-month high.

    Becky Gerritson and Steve Kookogey were both on Sean Hannity today.

    Becky told Hannity that when they testified yesterday..under oath…that many democratic senators sat in their chairs…made snickers at them and rolled their eyes while they were giving their testimony. Then along came McDermott and did what he did.

    I’m still astounded by what took place yesterday in that IRS hearing.

    The more I hear about what took place..the more angry I get. All Americans should be angry.

    I do NOT care if if Shulman was a Bush appointee…this happened under Obama….and Obama is his boss…..you cannot tell me…that these orders..to target tea parties….didn’t come from the top…because we all know they did.

  • Chriscee

    @lol @ SteveB

    At can’t leave their msnbc studios…hilarious.

    If they leave..they may never go back…lol

  • SteveB

    @Ratboy,

    We all know that Chicago Cheats, AT EVERYTHING………. including Hockey

  • Coffee Steve

    Just keeps getting better and better

    *President Obama’s 2012 deputy campaign manager, Stephanie Cutter, insists it was all policy and no politics at White House meetings she attended with the former IRS commissioner.

    “I was in them with him,” Cutter said of the “nonpolitical” get togethers during a recent appearance on Jake Tapper’s show “The Lead.” “So there was nothing nefarious going on.”

    While it’s clear Cutter attended at least some of the 157 White House meetings with Douglas Shulman, what’s unclear is why she was there to begin with.

    Investor’s Business Daily wonders, “Well, if they were not political meetings, why was she there at all? Was she there to offer her health care or tax code expertise?”

    *** I’m going to start another manuscript called

    “Corruption has a new name”
