    ABC could slot a Shark Tank or Wipeout rerun at 8 PM then have Weight LOss from 9-11

    AGT a summer show so i’m sure they didn’t want to try and move it.

    The talent on SYTYCD is exceptional this year, probably their most talented crop ever this year. Hopefully people will watch.

    Good ratings in June are just as good as good ratings in April…this antiquated TV season notion is slowly killing the networks

    @Stew

    @Nick April is more important than June because April is actually in the TV season, while June isn’t.

    Why are shows in the TV season more important than shows out of it? I have number of counter-arguments in my head right now, I just want to see your reasoning.

    @Nick the purpose of reruns isn’t always necessarily to win a timeslot like first rubs.

    I never said it was. I do think that getting good ratings is important for both first-runs and repeats.

    The Martin purpose of reruns is to get new viewers interested in the show in time for first runs

    What’s the Martin purpose? If you mean main purpose, then you’re wrong. The main purpose is to get money, from advertisers, who advertise to the people watching, hence the ratings. Getting new viewers is important too, don’t get me wrong. That’s just not the case here.
