New York, N.Y. In the summer finale episode titled “Redefining Jenna,” tensions arise between Jenna and Matty when Collin invites her to a swanky photography showcase at his house.  The episode will air on Tuesday, June 11 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.  Immediately following, at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, MTV will air a 30-minute after show offering a retrospective look at the third season.

On Tuesday, June 18 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, MTV will air the half-hour special “’Awkward’s Most Awkward Moments,” in which the show’s cast will delve into the funniest lines, the juiciest relationships, and much more as they look back at the last three seasons.

The series was created by Lauren Iungerich.  Iungerich and Erin Ehrlich serve as executive producers.

  • Yeah.

    Guess they need the ratings to go back up to what it used to be. Don’t blame them. Hopefully the show can maintain a 0.8+ average this season.

  • Chrisjozo

    I’m glad they are at least trying to save it’s ratings. Now if we can only get ABC Family to do something about Melissa and Joey and Baby Daddy.

  • Jared

    I don’t know what happened with this season of Awkward. Ratings took a huge nosedive after the premiere. MTV should have kept it as a Summer series. Either way happy to see MTV airing the Marathon before the finale.

  • Tony JJ

    I don’t get it. Awkward, Melissa & Joey, and Baby Daddy are all down season to season. They all rated great last summer, but this summer I don’t know what happened. These are three hilarious comedies! Hopefully awkward rises for it’s finale and I hope M&J and BD both rise in coming weeks.

  • Shane

    MTV’s scripted series only do well in the summer. They should know that by now…

  • david

    Great to see they are having an all day marathon of the show. I hope the rating goes up alot for the finale on Tuesday. I will watch some of the marathon because i have missed a few episodes this season.

  • Glue

    I thought the season had 20 episodes. What happened to that?

  • Oliver

    @Glue

    Cable networks tend to split long seasons into two, hence ‘summer finale’

    I believe ratings are better in MTV’s A12-34 target demo, especially W12-34, than A18-49.

  • Glue

    Oliver,

    So when are they airing the remaining 10?

  • roly

    AWkward!

  • Tony JJ

    That’s what I don’t understand, I figured they would split up the 20 episode order, but why end this 10 episode run this early in the summer. It should of started this past week along with teen wolf. Now they’re going to go all summer with no new awkward episodes, then when are they going to air the remaining 10? January? That’ll kill the show.

  • Jason

    Agree with Tony JJ, while it’s kinda obvi MTV is really hatin’ their ratings. Last season, the show was renewed after 3 episodes, Now it’s been 10 episodes… I’m worried.

  • Jacobo

    @Tony JJ
    Those are all the shows I’ve started watching :/
