  • jupiter3765

why is not shows like the price is right, the talk, the chew.the view, and lmad ratings not posted on here

  • Rob R

How appropriate that DAYS two-year high occurred during the most entertaining and viewer-rewarding week in over a year. Eileen Davidson, Deidre Hall, Chandler Massey, Blake Berris, and Freddie Smith were fantastic and the show has its Emmy submission for 2013.

  • Bex

Big congrats to DOOL! Also, so nice to see that so many tuned in for the tribute to Jeanne.

GO GH! General Hospital is ROCKING ! Quartermaines Front & Center and Kelly Monaco killing it!

  • jr YOU WING

GH is horrifically bad now with the trio recasting. The people of Port Chuck as well as the viewers are presumed brain dead by the rotten head writer with his teenage story lines of puppy love. Drek, from the new Franco’s bone marrow donation keeping him out of jail to KIKI’s cheating on 2 brothers.

  • Stephen Judson

Great thing when ALL soaps seen an increase. These four soaps are putting up a fight to stay on TV. And then we have OLTL and AMC treading new ground on the web. This is all so amazing.

  • rob60990

There’s no denying how bad GH is right now but it still beat oh so good DAYS in W18-49 viewers and W18-34 demo.

Nice bump for Y&R on Tuesday for the Jeanne Cooper special. Did CBS promote it?

  • James

This wasn’t for the special? Was the JC special last week of May or first week of June?

  • PatF

James…Tuesday’s numbers are for Jeanne’s tribute. It was on 5/28. And Rob, yes it was heavily promoted.

Hopefully the new team is taking notice of this. If people tuned in to see the show, if her onscreen death is handled correctly, maybe some of those people will tune in again. The show featured only vet characters, and that’s what we need to see more of these days.

  • hudson2647

Kudos to DAYS…. They are back to the old slogan…. MISS A DAYS MISS A LOT! Stellar storylines along with stellar performances by the cast equals big rating gains! Congrats!

  • moshane58

Big congrats to Days fan.Glad to see all up..Great tribute to Jeanne Cooper.Even though I don’t watch Y&R had to tune in for her tribute.Remember her from years ago when my mom watched.I thought Y&R did a good job on her tribute and brung tears to my eyes at the end.She has been icon on TV sets all over the world.

I am so glad that the soaps all went up. Hopefully since it is Summer they will continue to rise with kids out of school. Also I am hoping that All My Children and One Like to Live are doing well on line. I know they had to cut the episodes to two a week (each show) and an overview on Friday. Hopefully soon, they will be able to put the other two episodes back on and have 4 days of both shows and an overview on Friday.

  • Heather

AMC and OLTL treading new grounds on the internet?????!!!!!!!!!!

Their number of episodes got cut off by 50% in less than a month after their premiere date. Their Canadian network cancelled them. They fired writers less than a month after they premiered. They haltered production one week before they were supposed due to labor disputes with the crew’s union.

I’m not psychic and can’t tell what the future holds. But from the look of things, it frankly doesn’t seem very likely that these reboots will make it past beyond 2014 or even 2013.

People often wonder which, between GH and Days, will be the next soap to go. Well, when I look at Prospect Park, it appears that that the answer to this question is neither.

  • jupiter3765

one thing i dont get is why people compare the talk with the view its like comparing aerosmith to the cure there both rock but they both have a diffrent style and a way of doing things

  • 4hourglass

NBC(THE HOURGLASS NETWORK)should spend less time on tennis
and more time on Days of our Lives. I’m tired of the preemptions for
tennis, LA freeway car chases, every time the president farts and weather
reports. When people sit down to watch the soaps, it’s not to see all
    the other crap.

With every preemption the networks chip away any growth and stability
there is. How can the networks expect high viewership when tampering
with the viewers as well as the shows?! STOP SABOTAGING THE SOAPS!

  • Mike

“Days” was simply over the top this week. Eileen Davidson was on fire, and the Nick/Will/new baby scene was what made the week all the better. Hopefully they can capitalize on this audience that they gained, and keep up the near 3 million numbers. I agree with those who say that NBC needs to promote this show more.

  • DenverDean

B&B gains +4 in Household and 500K in year over year. Now that is impressive! It continues to build basically every week for past 18 months.

  • Mike

I can’t believe Days big gain in viewers was so much, but their demos hardly moved at all. That is very surprising that they gain that many overall and so few of them were in the younger demos.

Really glad to see the big numbers for Jeanne Cooper’s tribute. Good to see so many tune in for it.

Really glad to see B&B up so much from last year.

Not too many left to watch
