Weird…is this the end of SoapNet?

  • James

Another nail in coffin for SOAPNet.

@Brett. Yes, SOAPNet slow roll out of leaving the air waves continues. I still have it in Eastern NC though.

  • Linda

I hate the TVGN channel with the screen smaller because of the tv programming listings. Ugh, annoying.

  • tom

SOAPNet will be completely finished by the time General Hospital repeats moves to Lifetime.

  • Rob R

    TVGN is god awful.

  • Shelly

The glass is HALF FULL folks! At least it’s going somewhere! I’m so glad to see that it’s not out of the question to see it on broadcast TV (I work during the day). Unlike the computer screen, I can do other things while my “show” is on. Hey soap lovers; check out Comcast Xfinity’s article on the Katie Couric show.

  • Edna Larson

I can’t tell you how sorry I am that you are replacing Who’s the Boss with this soap.. I hate soaps.. I will NOT watch this.. It is upsetting because I watch Who’s the Boss most nights and enjoyed it.. I wish you would change your mind or at least put Who’s the Boss sometime other than 7 PM if you insist on airing the soap. But no matter what.. I will not watch that soap.. sorry.

  • Pooh Christman

    Thats just the greatest!! ;)

  • Cheryl

Well, this is an unfortunate development for this Y&R fan. I have enjoyed the convenience of watching Y&R on SOAPnet and am sorry to see this programming move to TVGN, which my cable company dropped a few years ago. But I do have the CBS App which is fantastic and will watch it there when needed.

  • Jennifer

At first I thought it was not coming on CBS daytime. I like SoapNet it is a good channel now I will have to tell mom; this is not a good thing PLEASE leave it how it is.

  • Karel

My whole and all appointments have been set up so I can watch my two favorite programs (Y&R + B&B)with a half hour of noon news between them. Thanks for screwing up my life. My evenings have been reserved for family time and events, so this move will be a great inconvenience.

  • elfuego36

@ Karel, the show will STILL be on daytime, and in the current slot in your market. It is just the Reair of the show is moving from SoapNet to TVGN.

  • captain morgan

This is stupid move it is just fine the way it is on soapnet . Soon there will be no more soaps on soapnet This sucks!

  • sandra coelho

I can’t find the channel Y&R is on. what is it. I have AT&T U-verse. Why would CBS take Y&R off the soap net channel? Now there’s a lot of people who can’t watch it. Put Y&R back on the soap channel, PLEASE!!!!!!
I agree this is stupid it’s the most popular soap & now it’s not on the soap channel.

  • Ginny B

WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT NUMBER CHANNEL “TVGN” IS. I HAVE NO IDEA AND I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING THE CHANNELS AND AM MISSING THE SHOW OF Y AND R. IT WOULD BE NICE IF THEY PUT THE NUMBER CHANNEL NEXT TO THE NAME OF THE STATION THAT THEY ARE CHANGING TO. TRIED TO CALL OPTIMUM AND BEEN ON THE PHONE FOR ALMOST 25 MINUTES. ALL I WANT TO KNOW THE ES NUMBER CHANNEL AND I CANT SEEM TO FIND OUT,

  • Ginny B

WELL, I JUST FOUND OUT THAT I DON’T GET THE TVGN CHANNEL. THANKS ALOT. NOW I CANNOT WATCH THE SHOW. WHY DON’T YOU PUT IT BACK ON SOAPNET!!!!!!!!!!!! i AM DISGUSTED WITH TV. YOU GET TO LIKE A SHOW AND THEN THEY EITHER TAKE IT OFF THE AIR OR CHANGE IT TO SOME STUPID CHANNEL. i AM SO MAD

  • Tammy C

It totally sucks that you took the Y & R off of soapnet. I have found that TVGN is only on Dish Net & Direct TV w/having to have local channels, NOT on TIME WARNER CABLE. I guess you’re ratings will now drop dramatically since a lot of people don’t have the channel or the time isn’t convenient for them. I work during the day, so can’t see it on the local channel, SO GOODBYE Y & R, I loved your show for over 30yrs:(

  • G

This sucks I don’t like tvgn. Why change and take off soap net. Time was great. Now can’t watch as not home when on during the day and don’t get to see evening. This totally sucks. So much for loyal 30 + yrs of watching.

  • Karen

I wish tvgn would have the young and the restless on at a later time. I liked how soap net repeated it again at 9, and did not only have it on at 6. I’m not able to watch it on CBS during the day, for the same reason I can’t watch it can’t watch it on tvgn at six. I have young children, and it would be inappropriate for me to be watching it with them. The later time was convenient because they are in bed, and I’m free to watch what I want. Unfortunately I will not be able to y&r anymore, and I have been watching it for 22 years…sad.

  • Tonya Rivers

I am also disgusted that I can’t watch my favorite soap! I can’t watch during the day because I am working and then still at working when it reairs….so….no more Y&! This Sucks!
