    Comcast has been the bane of that station

    At the last shareholders meeting it almost became a meltdown session. I truly believe if MSNBC’s numbers do not show a market improvement with the Zimmerman trial you may see a lot of changes at that network.

  • bnbishop

    What’s interesting to me is who didn’t showvup here after the lockout. I’ve always believed USAA666 was a paid Blogger.

  • AppleStinx

    I was checking if the name Stroumboulopoulous had a meaning, and came up with “Stroumpoulo poulo” (in Greek letters) which means “chubby checker”.

    Of course I don’t know if he was but it Wouldn’t surprise me any. Some sites do hire people to ruin boards that are expressing an overall view against what they want people to hear and see. In either case, if that was so, we can’t blame the site owners for shutting it down, they have better things to do than police trolls.

    I mainly tried to post stuff that was “news related” as per the cable news category cause the stories are ones we saw on the news networks. I went off course some I admit. But most of the stuff I read from others was informative and interesting. Its a shame that just a few can ruin it for many.

    S.Stinx,
    Now, that’s interesting. Chubby Checker. CNN staff must have been smoking s.thing, coming up with that crazy name.
    Coffee..Interesting about the shareholder’s mtg. I guess some people actually want to see MSNBC succeed. I stand by my statement:
    Comcast has been the bane of that station……….Oh, Chrissie was truly a nightmare here and one of the major culprit’s, leading to the shutdown here. Happy to see she’s g-g-g-g-g-g-gone! bbl. (I hope).

    @AppleStinx: I remember an OLD joke (I had to have been 7 or 8) told by Bob Hope on one of his specials. Old SkiNose said he was out of the country for awhile and when he returned home and heard about Chubby Checker, he thought it was a fat taxicab.

    ROFLMAO

    If they don’t re-open the comment section to us, there must be other sites of TV ratings that offers public comment.

  • AppleStinx

    @Ralph Hahn

    We called ‘Chubby Checker’ someone with an eye for Rubenesque girls. A guy who actually dated one of them girls was a ‘Chubby Chaser’. :cool:

  • Coffee Steve

    So I’m watching MSNBC just for the fun of it, they ran a story on Former Alabama Governor George Wallace. They kept referring to him as a Republican, EARTH to MSNBC, Wallace was a “DEMOCRAT” Thank you :-)

    @Ralph

    I singed up for another disqus account like the old one on here for awhile, I am CoffeeSteve On Newsvine, TheBlaze, Daily Caller, Newsbusters and Mediaite and a few left wing sites that I don’t post much on though.

    I also hope they re-open it here soon, outside of just a couple of comments on other sites this was about all I commented on.

  • Unseen

    Stroumboulopoulous? I thought it was snuffleupagus. I watched 10 minutes and then changed the station for fear of falling asleep. One would think it takes special effort to make Martin Short boring, though I’m not sure how to divide up the blame between Stroumboulopoulous and Short.

  • bnbishop

    Am I crazy. Went thhrough June 5th posts and noticed all USAA66 and Jeffies posts have been scrubbed.

  • AppleStinx

    @bnbishop

    Comments were stopped with the June 4th ratings.

  • lbsles

    No comment section on Tuesdays post

  • Coffee Steve

    @lbsles

    Looks like the lockout will last a long while sad to say, I sure will miss the back and forth with you guys until it’s reopened someday. Just look for CoffeeSteve on other sites, I won’t be posting very much though, but will from time to time say a little something.

    If it reopens someday it will be interesting to see what changes have happened during that time in our lives.

    Peace and Grace to all

    I thought it was only Chris Hayes who made the mistake, but the network??
    Hayes’s ratings were higher on Monday compared to last Monday. I had hopes only because in early May I wrote a ‘memo to Chris Hayes’ advising him to lose the tinted glasses and to wear a suit and tie. Maybe I could have had a career as image consultant but alas, I have no way to fix the image left by the Wallace blooper. :lol:

    @ Coffee Steve

    I hope one and all check in once in a while to see if the comments sections are opened again. I do miss the interaction between all of us even on those days I did not post.

    What I do not miss is the long-winded discussions/arguments on any one topic. State your opinion and shut up.

    If you do not like some one, stop posting here. They have a right to be here just as you do.

    I know we are all trying to watch our step here.

    Stromboli seems to be the only page open.

    MSNBC is sinking by ignoring the “The Obama Scandals.” Ditto for CNN.

    The new State Department Scandal is eye popping. They Inspector General is asking the Congress for protection from the Hillary Clinton State Department.

    Obama is beginning to take a real hit in the polls. The things that are going on are beyond belief.

  • Sicilian Papa

    Look at the numbers for Tuesday. MSNBC and CNN are collapsing!

  • 1nancy2

    Hi everyone,

    Well, I think our day together is coming to a close. It was fun while it lasted. I’ll miss you all. Who knows? Maybe Ratboy and Coffee can open up comments for Wed. Miracles happen, you know. BBL?
