In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

The voice was getting a 6.0 earlier this season!! What has happened?!

  • Really America?

Summer happened. And a NBA finals game.

  • Jay

I refuse to watch The Country Voice. My friends and I stopped watching after Sarah and Judith were eliminated. They should replace Blake, his bias toward country singers is very annoying.

  • John A

CBS Should just dump Brooklyn DA.

  • Factor Flop

THE VOICE FAILURE Shakira and Usher OUT

  • hanp

Don’t really know why NBC has to extend The Voice beyond the regular TV season.

  • Really America?

Country Voice? Since when were Sasha and Michelle country?

  • MichaelChickless

    Go NCIS twins! ;-) :-)

  • Samuel

So glad to see The Voice falling! :D

  • Nick

I think NBC should not premiere The Voice late March. Broadcast shows tend to lose audience around May due to cable shows premiering and live sports games. The Voice fall cycle should end its run around first week of December so the spring cycle can start around late February or first week of March so it can finish its run the fourth week of May

  • Jay

I will be back in the fall when Xtina comes back. Yeah, she can be bitchy and diva but thats more interesting than boring Shakira. Shakira is very sweet but she has the personality of a rock. At the very least its always interesting to watch what Xtina is wearing on the live shows and how far up her boobs are.

  • Really America?

Because it launched The Winner Is and America’s Got Talent. If something else lead into America’s Got Talent, there’s no way we would be seeing growth at 9 PM. It’s basically scheduling.

AGT now stronger than The Voice? Aye Me!

NBA finals should hold where it is–my sports fix was the debut of Garret Cole for the Pgh Pirates & what a debut! Truly TV to Talk About!

  • Jay

    @really america?
Sasha was eliminated. And we all know michelle is going to be 3rd place, Swon is going to be 2nd (for no reason whatsoever), and Danielle will win (tweens buying her singles wanting a poor man’s Taylor Swift). So why even bother.

  • Clarke

Logically it makes sense that AGT gets more viewers than The Voice. AGT has singers PLUS every-other talent known to man. It literally has it all. Thus bringing in a broader audience. What other show can you see a guy doing a handstand on top of a 80ft pole?

Brooklyn DA is doing horribly, especially for CBS. Is the show really THAT bad??!

  • Really America?

That could happen. In my opinion, The Voice happened to have two really strong country acts in The Swon Brothers and Danielle. I don’t think there’s some bias in the voting or shift in show direction, it’s just how the season unfolded. Next season, I’m sure the votes and show will shift to whatever singers are strongest in whatever genre they sing.

  • BigBrotherFan

Wow where are all those numbers SHAKIRA and USHER where supposed to bring in?

    What a bore!

Can’t wait til XTINA comes back

  • rob60990

Considering it was yet another blowout game, NBA did really well.

lol at The Voice hitting lows when next week is the season finale.

  • CBSviewer

CBS repeated well. Brooklyn DA is DOA.

  • a_lex89

    @Really America?
Actually this season of The Voice started so late because Shakira had given birth and they didn’t want to rush things and wanted her to be ready for it.
