In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

I have no issue with any of the rating numbers last night , my only wish is that the trained dancers that are part of , So You Think You Can Dance, would have as much of a shot as the street dancers that often get a pass in Vegas.

  • Joseph A

BTW ,, on a side note about the slide at FOX and what ratings mean,
FOX just completed their Upfront Sell for the Fall , and final numbers were about 10% lower in Dollars then last year , or about $200 Million Less then 2012.

With Sasha gone and Michelle unlikely to win I expect the country Voice to fall even harder, this season has been disgusting, it should not be called the Voice anymore, hope it falls even harder. No credibility at all.

  • Brandon

American Idol is Doing so much better than the Voice and America got Talent. And American Idol is in its 12th season. Plus the voice fell 0.1 Bellow AI’s Series low. So American Idol is still the number one competative show out their!

  • Alan

Poor Voice, even America’s Got Talent is doing better. Where’s the huge hit everybody was talking about? It will get American Idol ratings very soon.

it is SUMMER a 2.7 is fantastic just like a 1.5-1.7 is average, watch in the Fall it will probably get a 4.2 for it’s summer debut!

  • josh2770

heck it will probably get a 5.1 for Summer!

  • Melanie P.

@kbmv, yes LeBron had a crappy game last night and the score showed it, but I wouldn’t count him and the Heat out yet. I got the feeling this series will go to Game 7.

  • sally

I like Blake and the show is boring with michelle on it and the judges on AGT I cant stand, who is MElB

  • JR35

How did The Voice get that low, and AGT got a 3.0, against the NBA Finals?

Nonetheless, I don’t think the blame lies on Shakira- she’s a far more engaging and likable personality than the female she’ll be rotating the mentor chair with.

  • Nikki

any word on PLL ratings from last night?

  • Clark

Gee what is happening with voice. At e people are finally catching on that it sucks as bad as American idol, gee by the time the final air it will get 1.9

  • Beaker

AGT is now unwatchable. I don’t know why Heidi Klum is a judge. There is too much attention on Nick Cannon’s role. Replace him with a voice over…his core job is to announce the judges. The endless back-stories and men crying make me want to vomit. It’s just an awful show.

  • Josh2770

i mean fall debut WOW i am tired ;)

  • PA

    @Really America @Jay

I guess Jay doesn’t realize that America is voting for the contestants….not Blake. Also, Blake is country and the other 3 aren’t. That’s 75% non country, so why shouldn’t he stand up for his group like the others do?? Should it be 100% non country?? Don’t get mad at the coach or singers, because America rejects who you like. SMH The Voice is also repeated over the weekend and a lot of people don’t worry about missing it Mon-Tues because they know they can catch it later.

Where are the late night ratings???
