CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD” IS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING NEWS PROGRAM AND POSTS TELEVISION YEAR-TO-DATE GAINS IN ADULTS 25-54 (+7%), VIEWERS (+8%) AND HOUSEHOLDS (+5%)
CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD is the #1 Sunday morning news program in adults 25-54 – the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news – as well as viewers and households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for June 9, 2013.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.8/11 with 5.32m viewers and a 1.4/08 in adults 25-54. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +5% in viewers (from 5.07m), up +3% in households (from 3.7/11), and even in adults 25-54.
Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +7% in adults 25-54 (1.5/07 from 1.4/07), +8% in viewers (5.66m from 5.24m) and up +5% in households (3.9/11 from 3.7/10) compared to last year.
Sunday’s broadcast featured Lee Cowan’s interview with NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Richard Schlesinger’s profile of Broadway star Harvey Fierstein, Seth Doane’s report on a new documentary from “Sesame Street” to help explain incarceration to children with parents in jail, and Faith Salie’s report on the appeal of refrigerator magnets.
