Nice to see Supernatural repeat well on both Wednesday and Friday.

  • Roy

    Lol @ American baking competition

  • Ben Thompson

Great start to the Finals. Looks like this will be the highest rated series ever on NBC.

  • kbmv

How did the total viewers actually go down? First time i have EVER seen that in sports ratings.

  • JJ

I guess 3 overtimes is too much. Normally overtime boosts ratings. But i guess people had enough and went to sleep.

@kbmv, Normally, preliminary ratings for sports programming include whatever filler programming aired in primetime the Pacific Time Zone. Since the game ran (significantly) over into primetime in the Pacific Time Zone and actually peaked outside of ET/CT primetime (which is in PT primetime), there was less of an adjustment to be made.

@Roy – What’s to laugh at? It’s climbed a tenth each week since its premiere. That’s with heavily increased competition from NBC and with MasterChef being up week-on-week as well.

    Yo

  • cc

The Middle has more viewers then MF, demo is close.

  • kbmv

    @MaxVrany

That makes sense. I guess i’m surprised because i haven’t seen it before with games. But i guess we don’t see 3 overtime games either.

    CSI is CBS’s stalwart repeater.

  • Networkman

Masterchef is really strong. I wonder how it would do in the Fall. Hell’s Kitchen is great as well, but people really respect Masterchef. I would say it is Gordon Ramsey’s premiere show. Junior Masterchef really has a good shot of being a moderate hit on Friday. I feel Raising Hope and Enlisted really has a good shot of flourishing on the night behind it and Bones.

    Nice by hockey standards.

  • Fash

Wow, that baking show sure is old-skewing. Do young people hate baking or something?

  • HalCapone

Yeah, it’s definitely your grandma’s baking show:)

It’s a bummer that game two is being shipped off to the NBCSN, but they used to show games 3 and 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Versus/NBCSN. Of course, this was before The Voice became a huge show for NBC, and I think this is also insurance to make sure if for some reason the series ends in a four game sweep, the final game will be on a broadcast network. (I’m a Blackhawks fan, BTW, but I highly doubt this will be a sweep; this series should go at least six games and maybe all seven.)

  • Joseph A

I doubt that anyone from FOX will read this , BUT , just in case ,,

I really wish that MasterChef , showed all the contestants cooking attempts and not just a select few , Because of Network Star can show us all the cooking attempts then why can not MasterChef ,

  • yoyo

    Haha

  • Aaron

Just for accuracy’s sake, it’s the Stanley Cup Final (not Finals, as listed above). As in — Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.

There is only one Final, and it is comprised of a best of seven series.

    GO BRUINS!!!

    Ho ho ho
