Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Definitions:

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @And syndication is what gave H50 a renewal , but after it gets the needed episodes, unless it improves, that I doubt, it won’t survive much.

    It’l survive longer than Blue Bloods anyway. Have to admire Blue Bloods fans trying their hardest to claim Hawaii Five-O is somehow doomed lol. Funny stuff, they would have more credibility if they were making factual statements.

  • CBSviewer

    @ The End

    Blue Bloods is in danger NOW. I mean after Season Four it’l have more than 88 episodes. Last year it got a series-low 1.1 and if it goes below 1.0 CBS won’t keep it. I hope it gets a Fifth Season but Hawaii Five-0 is, for me, certain to be Renewed.
    We have already seen Shows being saved with low ratings because of their syndication deal. The most recent is CSI: NY which was Renewed for Season 9 instead of CSI: Miami because it was more profitable for CBS (Miami averaged 2.1 while NY averaged 1.6).
    I watch both of Blue Bloods and Five-0. think they will be well paired together but, I’m realistic and I think next Season is the last FULL season for Blue Bloods. If it’s Renewed it’ll be for 13-16 episodes to reach 100 that’s all we can hope.

    “It”l survive longer than Blue Bloods anyway”

    We will see about that. Someone posted here few weeks ago a very interesting information about BB. The Executive producer of BB is Leonard Goldberg , that is a Board member in the CBS corporation. So I don’t see this show being canceled before H50, unles H50 gets a miracle and suddenly is a hit on Fridays. And that won’t happen. BB will perform better than H50.

    H50 is doomed. The move to Friday is not a Big Price, the show has been downgraded because it was an underperformer .

  • CBSviewer

    @ Grace

    The move to Friday is not a Big Price, the show has been downgraded because it was an underperformer

    How do you know that ? There is several reasons why Five-0 moved to Friday.
    1) OK its ratings fell. But when Revolution was on hiatus Five-0 rated as well as the other 10PM Drama on the network.
    2) CBS needed room to Premiere a new drama. Monday at 10 is the best slot for it considering Mom will be a hit (Chuck Lorre factor)
    3) CSI: NY was canceled and CBS didn’t want to premiere a drama on Friday which is certain to flop (A Gifted Man, Made in Jersey…).
    4) CBS maybe want to increase their Friday night and Five-0 skews younger than Blue Bloods (as everything else on CBS. Even CSI: NY skewed younger than BB)

    The Executive producer of BB is Leonard Goldberg , that is a Board member in the CBS corporation

    No ratings, no Renewal ! Goldberg is maybe “a Board member in the CBS corporation” but they won’t waste money for a Show which is not profitable anymore. Welcome to the real World ;)

    @CBSviewer

    I know they were probably considering moving it to tuesday until Person of Interest took
    that spot. i know that if “Mom” flops (i doubt it will) they might move it back!

  • CBSviewer

    @ Josh

    i know that if “Mom” flops (i doubt it will) they might move it back

    No. When a Show moves to Friday (or Sunday) they are there to die. The only exception is Supernatural.

  • Josh

    @CBSviewer

    so hawaii five-o moved there to die???? or grimm????

  • CBSviewer

    @ Josh

    Grimm premiered on Friday. Hawaii Five-0 will never air on a weeknight again (so it will end on Friday) ;)

  • Josh

    @CBSviewer

    Harsh death!

  • Josh

    Hopefully CBS has faith 5-o can pick up new viewers!

  • The End

    @Grace
    @We will see about that

    Ironically most people who say that to me on here end up being wrong.

    @CBSviewer

    I agree, I think if anything if Hawaii Five-O can pull renewal numbers, Blue Bloods will be discarded and a newish show in trouble, or perhaps an old show in trouble will go there. Perhaps The Good Wife Season 6(Final Season if it gets) could go there?

  • Holly

    Assuming they get similar numbers and CBS has to make a choice between the two, the deciding factor between BB and H 5-0 will likely be what kind of syndication deal BB gets, not who sits on what board.

  • Josh

    @The End

    I think “The Good Wife” should have ended last season and “The Mentilist” should have ended too but since then they still making CBS money they will stay! TGW should last till the end of the syndication deal!

  • CBSviewer

    @ The End

    I think it woukd be good for CBS to cancel both of The Mentalist and The Good Wife next season. They could replace The Mentalist by an underperforming show and premiere a new Drama at 9. After all Sunday is better than Friday and The Amazing Race is a good lead-in. The only problem is i the new drama is not strong enought to air after repeats during The Amazing Race hiatus. They could also move two underperforming veterans to Sunday. The Good Wife is too weak for Friday.

  • Josh

    @Josh
    “The mentilist”

    wow you are tired i think you should take a nap!

  • MichaelChickless

    I’ll keep recording new H50s on Fridays just like I did when it was on Mondays.
