    M&M will definitely be back sooner then later. Its completely unrealistic to think all the new comedies will be hits. Something is sure to fail. Never is every single new show a hit. It’ll most likely be We Are Men even though i’m really rooting for it because i really like Tony Shalhoub.

  • DW

    lol at people still complaining that the good wife is still on the air. are you guys upset that they got rid of some show or something?. up against football and walking dead , and GOT , it lost 3/10 of a rating point all year. not bad for being in a bad slot and airing after sports overruns.

  • Dan

    Person of Interest will do fine 10pm Tuesday, much better than Vegas, Golden Boy or Unforgettable. Speaking of Unforgettable, where will it’s remaining episodes air once The Good Wife takes over the time slot? There’s no possibility of a failed drama this fall since Hostages is guaranteed to air through January.

  • Survivor Fan

    Only counting originial episodes L+SD, Partners was the #1 new comedy, with a A18-49+ (ratings relative to average) of 98.

    The Neighbors, the season’s only renewed comedy, had a 88.

  • Dan

    M&M will probably replace We Are Men after a few weeks. I can see Mom and The Millers getting full seasons and The Crazy Ones getting “additional episodes”.

  • rob60990

    POI deserved to be moved. CBS can do better in that timeslot.

    CBS should have potentially considered a 1 hour premiere of TBBT into Crazy Ones to give it as much sampling as possible.

  • Raykov

    I think POI’s fans don’t realise what a death slot is. It’s not just a slot where lots of shows didn’t make it. It’s a slot where lots of shows didn’t make it within a reason. Like ABC’s Thursday 8pm slot. They try putting new shows there every year, but they all fail, cause they are up against TBBT, Fox’s singing shows and not to mention it’s the best night of The CW (they are probably not doing lots of damage but compared to other nights…). So the only way to get out of the cursed slot is to either have an unexpected hit or to move an established show to that slot (which they never do). The truth is TVs create their own death slots as they continue to try the same thing – putting new show there. Unless the show is high-profile like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – it’s really unlikely to be a hit.

    @Survivor Fan
    Only counting originial episodes L+SD, Partners was the #1 new comedy

    True enough. Of course, it benefited from doing so poorly that it was pulled off the schedule in the fall for repeats and was never burned off.

    In the end, comparisons between a shows like Partners and How to Live With Your Parents are apples to oranges and completely meaningless.

    How do you know that they didn’t?

  • rob60990

    There’s no such thing as a cursed timeslot, just bad or boring shows.

  • CrimTV

    @rob60990

    To be honest that’s mostly true but ABC’s Thursdays at 8pm is a real death slot.

  • Ultima

    @Raykov
    I think POI’s fans don’t realise what a death slot is.

    For every single hour of the week, I’m sure you can find a commenter here who will refer to it as a “death slot.”

    I think these new fangled death slots are pathetic. I remember the days when everything would fail catastrophically in certain timeslots and at times networks would be so terrified of the competition, that they would just schedule repeats because it was a waste to air new programming.

    It’s like people have never seen a self-starting hit before…

  • tim_m

    @rob60990 exactly and POI is not a bad show. Vegas, Golden Boy and Unforgettable were all well forgettable.

  • Mon

    @DW
    up against football and walking dead , and GOT

    It’s not that TGW has seen an increase when those shows are over.

  • The Booper

    Regarding Mike and Molly, there was a news article last month that the Showrunner had left and that the new showrunner/ex prod needed time to get up to speed so the show was pushed back a couple of months. Has this been verified?

  • Theisssuesarenow

    But why ignore the total failure of Good Wife on Tuesday night so much that it had to be moved! It was a total failure and everything was going in its favor! It was supposedly on a great night! It had great reviews! It had Julianna Margulies! A great cast! A hot woman for men and hot man for women! It supposedly had it all and it was dying on Tuesday’s at 10! Then it was renewed for strictly Emmy reasons! CBS isn’t going to make any money on the good wife! when all is said and done it will be a money loser! ALl the money they made from it is going to spent on it! I doubt one cent is actually made! Now POI is going to die in the 10 slot because of all the overkill that night with crime drama! I know what a death slot is and POI is going right to one! I would like to see something about why POI was moved to where everything fails no matter quality! Cops lawyers sugar producers or something!

  • FLOP Detector

    CBS’s Tuesday 10PM is the only TV deathslot.

    ABC’s Thursday 8PM and NBC on the same day at 10PM are only slots full of bad shows.

    Vegas, POI and Golden Boy >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Last Resort, Zero Hour, Flopball, Awake, etc.

  • DW

    @mon. it did hold its own. and only dropped 3/10 of a point the whole season.

    @ flop shouldn’t it be flop resort , flop hour , and flake ?.

  • Nick

    It’s such a big missed opportunity to not have Crazy Ones premiere behind Big Bang Theory. But it’s CBS. I’m not surprised.

  • Ultima

    @Theissuesarenow
    But why ignore the total failure of Good Wife on Tuesday night

    Because the show wasn’t a total failure as it was renewed twice while airing on Tuesday nights. Sure, it was moved, because CBS thought that Tuesday 10pm was a better timeslot for a new show than Sunday 9pm.

    Then it was renewed for strictly Emmy reasons! CBS isn’t going to make any money on the good wife! when all is said and done it will be a money loser! ALl the money they made from it is going to spent on it!

    Nonsense. The Good Wife is profitable. Do you seriously think that it’s entering its fifth season solely because it won a couple of Emmys?

    I would like to see something about why POI was moved

    Because Thursday 9pm was the best available timeslot for CBS to expand sitcoms into and it happened to be in that timeslot and Tuesday 10pm happened to be free.

    You’re delusional. Maybe if you came back to reality, all of this would make more sense.
