Based on Live + Same Day Program Ratings:

Towering over Tuesday with its continuing coverage of the 2013 NBA Finals (Miami-San Antonio Game 6), ABC won the night by 31% in Adults 18-49 over runner-up NBC with the 2-hour season finale of The Voice coming out of America’s Got Talent. The Net has posted dominant victories on all 6 nights of the 2013 NBA Finals among Adults 18-49.  Spiking 21% week to week, ABC scored its highest-rated Tuesday in 3 years with Adults 18-49 – since 06/15/10.

Airing around the NBA Finals in various time periods across the country, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night marked its 2nd-most-watched telecast and tied its top Adult 18-49 number for a Game Night 6.  On average, the 2013 Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night specials are up by double digits over last year’s averages in Total Viewers (+10%) and Adults 18-49 (+10%), posting the annual program’s 2nd-largest audience and equaling its highest young adult delivery.

With the San Antonio Spurs at the Miami Heat, ABC’s 2013 NBA Finals Game 6 (9pm-12:19am ET) put up the biggest numbers yet for the series and was Tuesday’s definitive #1 television program in Total Viewers and across each of the key Adult demographics.  It was the 6th straight telecast for the 2013 NBA Finals to qualify as the #1 TV program of the night.  In fact in Adults 18-49, Game 6 stands as TV’s top-rated telecast in nearly 4 months - since ABC’s Academy Awards broadcast in February on 02/24/13.  In an overtime thriller, Miami defeated San Antonio 103-100 to tie the series 3-3 and force a deciding Game 7 on Thursday night.  In Total Viewers and all key Adults, it was ABC’s 2nd-biggest-ever Game 6.  In addition, it was ABC’s 4th-most-watched NBA Finals game in its history, trailing only series clinching games in 2004, 2010 and 2011 – ABC began carriage of NBA Finals in 2003.

Hopefully the Spurs can win game 7 but I doubt the NBA will let them…the NBA is rigged for the Heat.

After this week back to reality.

The “NBA is rigged” crowd lacks common sense. The officiating has been decent. If anything, the Spurs have gotten more breaks from the referees in the series. More fouls have been called on the Heat and the Spurs have shot more free throws.

Beyond that, did they rig it for Bosh to get the rebound and Ray Allen to make a miracle three pointer with 5 seconds left? Because if the Spurs retrieved the rebound or Ray missed it, the Spurs would be champions right now. That’s some risky rigging right there!
