    come on Ultima

the NBA plays what close to 95 games including the playoffs a year, you cant compare it to the NFL, NFL is a giant in america but they play so few games, and thus have a more time, and a better chance to hype up their matchups

NFL is good, and the fact that the NBA is doing that good in america is awesome, but the NBA is more popular than the NFL outside the states

how did the game get adjusted so much more higher and the pregame show so much lower? Is this reliable data? Don’t mean to be offensive but something seems off.

  • Cory Stark

@pooty the game aired live, so in the west coast the higher rated game took up Jimmy’s and NBA Countdown’s spots.

    The Voice did pretty good.

  • JR35

Highest-rated Voice finale in overall viewers.

The game was adjusted up so much while Kimmel and the pregame adjusted down is because of the way fast ratings work for live events on the West Coast. The fast ratings get the information from 8-11 PM Eastern Time for the Eastern, Central, and Mountain time zones and the 8-11 PM Pacific time for the Pacific Time Zone. As a result, live events like the NBA Finals don’t register properly on the West Coast. Since the game was being played from 8-9 PM Pacific Time, it registered viewers of the game as viewers for the pregame and Kimmel. That is why the adjustment down for those 2 is similar to the adjustment up for the game.

“the NBA plays what close to 95 games including the playoffs a year”

Whose fault is it? The NBA realizes that its regular-season games are less popular than the Kardashians. Therefore, the NBA has bloated its postseason in hopes of increasing its spring audience.

    the Kardashians really

The NBA destroys the Kardashians though, its not really a comparison, if their were fewer NBA regular season games, the ratings for those games would be higher, they still do good numbers though, compared to the NHL and the MLB regular season games

Tried to watch NCIS tonight, but CBS has continued to plague that poor show with their B string writers.

Fortunately for me, Fox is showing House reruns.

CBS used to have all the best shows, but now I just watch Big Bang, Hawaii 5-0 and Blue Bloods. The rest doesn’t keep me awake.
