Due to the nature of live sports programming the ratings for ABC (NBA Finals) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.

ABC was the number one network in adults 18-49 while NBC was on top with total viewers.

NOTE: Game 6  started before primetime in the Pacific and ended after primetime in the East. On ABC, Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night earned a 2.9 adults 18-49 rating.. NBA Countdown garnered a 3.8 adults 18-49 rating. NBA Finals Game 6 scored a 6.5 adults 18-49 rating.

On NBC, America's Got Talent earned a 2.9, down a tenth from last week's 3.0 adults 18-49 rating. The Voice results finale scored a 4.3, only down a tenth from last spring's finale, but down six tenths from last fall's 4.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On FOX, So You Think You Can Dance garnered a 1.4, down three tenths from last week's 1.7 adults 18-49 rating.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

…The Voice skewed weirdly old. Very odd. Country music, perhaps?

  • Dennis

    The Voice did FANTASTIC !!

  • Jay

15 mil. for the Voice is great! It will be adjusted up 2 (perhaps 3?) tenths. Great result! I dont remember seeing more than 15 mil total viewers for the voice since season 2, no?

  • Jack Bauer

    GO MIAMI HEAT!! :-)

  • Seth

America’s Got Talent is a juggernaut.

  • rob60990

The Voic did well and yea it did skew kinda old. Still it did way better than Idols finale and isnt down much from its fallfinale.

Great rise for NBA. Should be over a 7 in the finals. ABC should be thilled there will be a game 7.

  • BrieK

That awesome game almost made me late for work this morning. It would be nice if it could start an hour earlier, but I know they need to consider west coast viewers. I didn’t fall asleep until 2am, but forced myself up at 7am anyway.

  • NBC Fan

The Voice did skew old, still a 4.3 against basketball is great. America’s Got Talent did well too.

Wonderful ratings for basketball. I’m worried for Hannibal now.

  • Eddie

    The NBA is so rigged.

  • Dave

probably skewed old cuz Cher was on it

  • rob60990

I know it probably means nothing but interesting that POI not only beat Brooklyn DA it beat NCIS LA.

  • Jay

    Good numbers for CW repeats

  • harry

The voice will be adjusted up later so expect a 4.5 versus 3.5 of american idol finale , and also airing on summer i ‘d say the voice did great…

  • harry

I guess ABC would kill to have NBA finals ,in may sweeps.

  • Phil

@Briek Why are you watching a rigged game? It is like the WWE, a scripted game

  • Survivor Fan

Game 6 and The Voice finale were both great, and I am glad that both found viewership. The Voice will adjust up in the finals to tie or beat last spring’s finale. Meanwhile, Game 7 will be huge for ABC. Maybe these finals will outrate last year’s, as these went 7 games, versus 5 last year.

  • Survivor Fan

    @ Phil

You must just be a bitter Spurs fan. You still have a shot, although I expect the Heat to pull through in Game 7.

  • MichaelChickless

    Go POI!

The Voice did fantastic numbers. Thats the highest rated Voice in total viewership of all the four Voices. Its even up from last season so expect an increase in the finals and thats in June. Thats higher then American Idol’s May finale in a much bigger month and competitive month. Fantstic end to the season and I will say this Danielle Bradberry is going to do very well. She is an excellent winner for the show. So while it was down in the demo it was way up in viewers which was crazy but still beat Idol.

  • Jacob

AGT and the voice will be adjusted up. Not bad for The Voice though
