CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was the #1 Sunday morning news program in adults 25-54 – the demographic most important to those who advertise in news – as well as viewers and households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for June 16, 2013.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.6/11 with 5.15m viewers and a 1.2/06 in adults 25-54. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +9% in adults 25-54 (from 1.1/06), up +19% in viewers (from 4.34m) and up +16% in households (from 3.1/10).
Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +5% in households (3.9/11 from 3.7/10), +8% in viewers (5.65m from 5.22m) and +7% in adults 25-54 (1.5/07 from 1.4/07) compared to last year.
Sunday’s broadcast was anchored by Lee Cowan and featured his report on the wives of the pioneering astronauts from the early days of the U.S. space program, Serena Altschul’s story on the trend toward high-end razors and upscale shaving boutiques, Anthony Mason’s profile of stand-up comic and father of five Jim Gaffigan, and Ben Tracy’s report on the overlooked role of back-up singers.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING, which is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 ET) on the CBS Television Network, was honored last weekend with the Outstanding Morning Program Emmy at “The 40th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards.”
