All the old threads have been scrubbed.
    I guess we are next.
Nice chatting with you all over the years.
I hope we get a chance to return.
Ps. I still post around the site from time to time.
Have not seen Hillbilly in a while.

  • BevAG

d.d., after I posted that they said no fatalities, then I heard there were some fatalities.

I was thinking no fatalities was way too much to ask for after what I was seeing on TV.

My heart breaks for all the families that lost lives and for those that injured I wish a smooth recovery.

Re. Dreamer’s comment about “All the old threads have been scrubbed.
    I guess we are next.”

If that happens it will prove that this site does not make money off our comments nor the number of pages posted.

Sooo, They have to be making their money off the zap2it adds.

  • BevAG

I was wondering also how they made their money. I was wondering if anyone reads those little news articles that they from Around the Web.

  • BevAG

It looks like they haven’t put up the numbers for Friday, July 5, and it’s 10:30 p.m. CA time.

That too is my reaction when I don’t see Hillbilly.
There haven’t been any posts about Honey Boo Boo and Duck Dynasty lately. He might just comment in the post about ‘The Legend of Shelby The Swamp Man’.

I miss bumping in to H.B. I did have a short online chat with Coffee Steve’s son.

  • AppleStinx

I hope Coffee is (is back) safe and sound in (from) Nigeria.

  • d.d.

    Back at you , Apple

Think I startled Coffee’s son yesterday that I knew who he was , but, he responded again today.

“lol, hello Dad told me you were on some web sites. He seldom gets on the computer anymore. Always outside in the garage or walking now.”

The rain continues here … Wal Mart has only 2 registers open . The rest are covered in plastic. The store is wet inside & dripping into pharmacy , produce , food, sundries , etc…. Stop the rain, please !

  • d.d.

    @Fox LVR

I speak for myself only. News is a hobby of mine , much like my other ones, mosaics, fishing, crafting, reading, mega gardening( my favorite) , volunteerism … I worked the 4th in service to others. Did you ? I have family & friends & was lucky to be able to retire early in my life & enjoy my life including the the comments section of TVBTN’s. Let me think about my OWN actions.

It should be no skin off your nose.

  • BevAG

    Fox LVR:

You spend your life telling other people how to lead their lives. You must have a boring life. You need to get a life.

As far as the ratings being legit, the ratings don’t change based on whether there’s comments or not, at least I wouldn’t hope so.

  • Fox LVR

the reason you were all cut off is clear sadly they missed a loop hole on this article which you are clinging to for dear life. so I sent another email praising the decision to cut your embarrsing socalled comments unrelated to cable news ratings forever. what I do here on this site is read the ratings smile when my favorite programs do well on Fox etc and sadly catch a few of the childish socalled comments posted by insecure individuals such as yourselves. I do not care what you do in your personal life nor what you say you did on the holiday. what I do in my personal life is none of your concern. I am very pleased that with out your vipers that I get this chance to break my own rule and post a comment or two. it takes a lot more than pointless text on a website to skin my nose. as I said get a life

May I suggest you spend your trolling time here:

Congrats to Robert on his Twitter gig !

MSNBC’s ratings are getting worse by the day. The only cable news channel doing well is Fox. CNN seems to be just holding its own.

I’m so glad that Elizabeth is joining Fox. I’ve always liked her, ever since her stint on Survivor.

  • Jim S.

@Fox LVR – it takes a lot more than pointless text on a website to skin my nose. as I said get a life

Iknow this is pointless, however, apparently, you seem to feel you’ve lost a tremendous amount of off your nose.

For the low-infomation voters who come by.

The wheels are coming off the whole of southern Europe

Europe’s debt-crisis strategy is near collapse. The long-awaited recovery has failed to take wing. Debt ratios across southern Europe are rising at an accelerating pace. Political consent for extreme austerity is breaking down in almost every EMU crisis state. And now the US Federal Reserve has inflicted a full-blown credit shock for good measure.

The Greek think-tank IOBE expects GDP to fall 5pc this year. It has told journalists privately that the final figure may be -7pc. The Greek stabilisation is a mirage.

Italy’s slow crisis is again flaring up. Its debt trajectory has punched through the danger line over the past two years. The country’s €2.1 trillion (£1.8 trillion) debt – 129pc of GDP – may already be beyond the point of no return for a country without its own currency.

Another one for the low-infomation voters.

By Jonathan S. Landay and Marisa Taylor | McClatchy Washington Bureau
By Jonathan S. Landay and Marisa Taylor McClatchy Newspapers
WASHINGTON — In an initiative aimed at rooting out future leakers and other security violators, President Barack Obama has ordered federal employees to report suspicious actions of their colleagues based on behavioral profiling techniques that are not scientifically proven to work, according to experts and government documents.
The techniques are a key pillar of the Insider Threat Program, an unprecedented government-wide crackdown under which millions of federal bureaucrats and contractors must watch out for “high-risk persons or behaviors” among co-workers. Those who fail to report them could face penalties, including criminal charges.

What country does this sound like?

I thought the Obama people were against profiling. I thought that the Obama people (Democrats) find no good reason to profile anyone.

They hypocrisy of the Democrats and this Obama — who said he was going to have the most transparent presidency — is showing up every day.

Made it back fine Apple, Thanks for asking, We had to leave 4 days early, security reasons, and just in time, right after we departed (different part of the country) a massacre took place and we knew some of them. It’s really horrible over there and of course not a peep from the press about it.

It’s good seeing d.d.’s post on other sites from time to time. Scott keeps me informed. I get on some, but not much anymore. I was watching some news but when it became apparent the Zimmerman court case was being reported as to make it a Kangaroo court, It started to make me sick to my stomach.

I am angry and sad at the state my former profession has become. Pravda is a more honest press then we have anymore.

Hope everyone is doing fine, and I do hope that the powers that be consider reopening the comments soon. Miss you guys.
