  • Oliver

    Hot in Cleveland flopped considering how hard they promoted it.

    Solid return for Futurama, but not a big enough jump to make them regret cancelling it. It’s expensive.

  • Verbal Tap Cast

    Do we have any word on how Spike TV’s “Fight Master” and series of fights went last night?

  • The End

    @Oliver
    @Solid return for Futurama, but not a big enough jump to make them regret cancelling it. It’s expensive.

    Futurama is a lot cheaper to produce than The Simpsons, for one they don’t have to pay epically huge wages to the voice over talent in Futurama.

  • panda22

    At least M&J made the list and beat Baby Daddy…it’s beaten BD every episode this season!, though i think the 100 episode deal was very premature….its only half way there and alot can happen.

    But my guess is ABFC must think they can sell this show abroad in a package deal that makes them a profit no matter what.

  • The End

    Also, awesome. Season high there for Paranormal Witness :)

    Yeah okay, 3 episodes in, not much to celebrate there but still, keeping these kinds of ratings over the course of the season will get the show a 4th season.

    This show absolutely is worth investing in, as said in previous weeks, the stories are quite entertaining/creepy.

  • The End

    @Bryan

    How much do you think this costs to produce even? Producing a cartoon like Futurama with a modest budget, isn’t going to be counter productive to a cable network. You’re welcome to think otherwise though.

  • Cliff Macke

    What I don’t understand is on TV Land part is the fact that they WAIT till 10pm/9pm central to run their NEW SHOWS…PLUS they REAPEAT them SO often during the week does anybody really have to stay up past 11pm to watch The Soul Man or even 10pm for Hot in Clevland. Air them in prime time then you can expect prime time viewers to watch them.

  • Bizarro

    @Cliff Macke
    I agree with you, I was wondering yesterday why all of their shows were airing so late. They should air at 9/8 instead. I guess they air at 10/9 because their may be a little less competition. But 11 is too late to air a comedy. This explains why The Soul Man didn’t even make the list.

  • Leo

    @Bryan, why do you think The Soul Man which airs afther HIC & Exes hurts them?
    It’s not the lead in for either one of those shows, and both HIC and Exes where up on their previous season average, so …..weird thinking.

  • Nik

    Those are great numbers for Hot in Cleveland and the best ratings that they had for a while. It’s a great show, more people should see it!

  • Ram510

    Great for Futurama! Looks like it was possibly closer to a .9, maybe if the continues it could be uncancelled or brought back to Fox, Adult Swim, FX/FXX (could be a nice pair with Archer).

    Melissa & Joey doing solid, which it was higher. Such an awesome show! What happened to Baby Daddy? It used to do better than m&j last season.

    So surprised that the TVLand lineup did so well. I didn’t think that they’d get over a million viewer (especially The Exes). It was a funny night for all 3 shows. I hope Soul Man did ok. It was doing really well last season so I don’t understand why they left it in the 11pm shadows?

    Franklin & Bash didn’t do so well for a premiere. However I think it can tick up next week like USA’s line up did this week. The show seems to be trying to get back to being funny like season 1, season 2 was just a boring, unfunny and a chore to watch. I do however believe that over the course of the season F&B will do ok considering its on its own. King & maxwell and Perception will dip to a .6 soon enough despite having solid lead in

    Wow cable on Wednesdays has gotten busy, too bad some of these shows can’t move to Tuesdays. There absolutely nothing on that night

  • Nik

    I don’t understand why you guys think Hot in Cleveland flopped. They got their best viewership last night in like a year. They left of with 1.29 and they got a 1.69…… this is really good. It’s really unrealistic that they would get 3 million and up…. 30 Rock did a live episode too a few years ago and the viewership did not go up really high. My point is Hot in Cleveland remains to be the most watched tv show on TVLAND so they are not going to cancel it……

  • Nikki

    Sad Melissa and Joey isnt doing better.. but either way were getting another season. It was already picked up for a 4th before the new season started. Or am i wrong.

  • Andrew

    I didn’t realize Futurama was on last night. I hope they repeat it some time this week so I can see it. I’ll set my DVR for next week. I have feeling Futurama is ending because Matt Groening wants to move onto other projects, not because of its modest ratings.

  • Tony JJ

    Better for Melissa and Joey and baby daddy. Wish they were doing better though. They should keep rising. They should air them at 10pm on either Monday or Tuesday one week to try and gain some new viewers.

    Wow at full house!

    And out of curiosity does anyone have numbers for the repeat of Twisted at 10pm?

  • The End

    @Ram510

    Think we’re more likely to get a Futurama movie to end things than a new season elsewhere to be honest. That being said, strong DVD sales might make Fox reconsider the decision, it worked for Family Guy in the past, and Futurama too.

    I don’t think Futurama will be dead after it finishes this season, I think we’l eventually get something, even if it takes time for us to get that something.

  • Damiker

    Those are the best numbers since season 1 for The Exes, hopefully viewers will continue to tune in.

    M&J & BD should continue rising, they’re funnier this season.

  • The 47th

    Futurama’s fate is probably sealed in Comedy Central no matter how well this season does. BUT strong ratings could encourage Fox to produce more movies or try to make some deal with another network.

  • Matt

    I only watch Hot In Cleveland and Happily Divorced on TVLand. There was an article ran this week that we will finally have a renewal decision for HD in July. Hopefully it will be renewed because it does better than The Soul Man and The Exes.

    Also, HiC was not a flop last night. Like someone else said, they received their highest ratings in awhile, and it is their highest rated show, and it is already renewed for another 24 episode 5th season starting late fall – run through summer 2014 which gives it over 100 episodes and deals for syndication so… hardly a flop.
