  • Derrick

Yes, I’ve heard about Chad leaving but not Will!!

  • 4hourglass

Maybe DAYS OF OUR LIVES is more like a bold and beautiful spider web with
young and restless flies caught and there is no way general hospital can save
    them. Just ask Eileen Davidson!

  • 4hourglass

He may not leave. Its to early to tell.

  • JayTN

Derrick…”Days” has confirmed that Casey Jon Deidrick (Chad) is leaving the series. It has been rumored – though not confirmed – that Chandler Massey (Will) and Camila Banus (Gabi) will also leave. Given that Will is a major character in a front burner (and attention grabbing) storyline, I would expect that the character will be recast quickly. Gabi too, although the character is largely independent of Will and they aren’t necessarily a package deal. Since the whole Will/Sonny storyline seems to be such a major storyline (especially with social media), I would absolutely shocked if “Days” does not keep the story going with a new actor in the role of Will.

  • James

Glad all soaps are up, but wish GH would be at 2.7 or 2.8’s again. I love the duo of Frank/Ron running things…but numbers talk and 2.3 to 2.6 won’t cut it for long term.

  • Sophie

I”ve heard in a few places Will is leaving. Maybe he wants more money. But I just didn’t like the way Days treated there vets a year ago. They never finish there stories. Where is Bo, is he coming back? Did Austin and Carrie have there baby? They just use there favorites on that show and sometimes it’s not the fan favorites. Look what they did to Jack too. If I watched another soap it would be YR, I do sometimes check in there and it’s good. I only really have time to watch one and it’s GH. I’ve watched it from the beginning. I’ve only watched Days for about 20 years. And I always watch a little, but it gets boring so I stop. I also didn’t like the way NBC fired Ann Curry. I guess I go with how stations treat people, and NBC doesn’t have a good track record for me. Too busy doing spin and yoga!

  • Sophie

Oh and PS I’m glad Days won best soap, way to go! But I’m glad it was from
the writers from last year! And those same writers won an Emmy last year too!!!
    Way to go MARDAR!!!!!

  • sedgrick

@sophie you tuned in one day didn’t know one story that was going on and said it was boring I can tune into GH one day and say it was boring you haven’t even watched enough storylines to know whats going on and Days is doing great and yeah you cant have vets on all the time cause what would happen to the next generation at least we have enough vets and legacy characters and just because some are gone doesn’t mean the show is bad.

  • sedgrick

@sophie MARDAR was killing the show many people couldn’t watch because most of the storylines were bad and just because they did one good storyline doesn’t mean they were supposed to stay and the new writers are writing a soap that most people like obviously by the ratings so I am sorry if you don’t like Days now but as you can see its doing better and fine without you.

  • Sophie

I’ve tuned in more than one day. I just can’t finish a show. I only like WILSON, and that is it. Eilleen D. is not a vet. She’s worked there a total of 1-3 years.I’m glad Days is doing better. The’ve only beat GH a few times in the last year. So I’d say GH has been better… JMO Don’t get your panties in a bunch, as I said I like both shows. Just GH alot better! Days fans sure get all worked up!

  • 4hourglass

This is the second time ED has been on DOOL. Her total is about four years.
Her storylines were ten years worth.

Sophie, please do’nt try to drag DAYS down with GH. If DAYS viewers watch
GH and GH viewers watch DAYS we could have a healthy couple of shows.

We should unite and fight to save our shows. That is what Y&R and B&B are
doing. Use your know how and we all can have what we want.

  • joshua

I love YR, BB and Days but I think GH is the poo.

  • cab

Days deserves the emmys that it got. I hope Chandler stays on with the soap. What will he do after? When a soap star leaves they are generally forgotten and never heard from again. I can not believe how fast Days finished a major storyline and whacked us with another frontline burner storyline and mystery. Where is that knife. They continue to impress me and keep me hooked. Great job Days.

  • Mike

Chandler will do the same thing that many of the soap stars who left did. Some of them like Meg Ryan and Julianne Moore make it, some like Deidre Hall, Genie Francis, Darin Brooks, etc. get small breaks but can’t make it and come running back to daytime soaps.

Chandler evidently has a good friend in Charlie Sheen since he sent Tweets congratulating him on his Emmy win. And there were even pictures of them together. So maybe that will help open some doors for him.

To me it is no surprise him thinking of leaving. Most of the young stars these days do at some point. And seemingly esp. the young Days stars. The last time I watched Days faithfully was when they had Darin Brooks, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Melvin and all 3 of them left. I’m glad Darin is back now on B&B. Loved him on that football series he had too.

  • 4hourglass

There’s nothing more bold and beautiful than
Days of our Lives scooping up the amazing
Eileen Davidson. Just ask Deidre Hall!

  • 4hourglass

@Steve, Sophie,Marissa and all the other GH fans

Stay solid. Stand your ground. I will help support GH.
Full steam ahead. Starting today I’m a DOOL & GH fan.
Hospital Days sounds good to me. What do you all
think about the union of the two groups of fans helping
each other? We can build two unbeatable shows togather!

Do you like my new name?

  • IowaMan

For those asking about Massey’s future: his contract is up in December. He specifically expressed a serious interest in going back to college to finish his studies.

From his interview “I think when this is up, I want to go back to school – I want to graduate,” he said. “I want to have a degree. I just want to keep looking forward.”

  • Mike

Oh yes real scoop….Sony who owns both shows supported one show stealing her from the other.

The full scoop was that Sony wanted to boost Days ratings so they moved her from one show they own to the other show. Even Davidson said so herself.

As much as I miss Davidson on Y&R it was a good move by Sony at the time since Y&R wasn’t effectively using her talents.

  • Mike

This next week is the last week of Y&R on SoapNet.

I wondered what SoapNet was going to do. I didn’t figure they would try to acquire a new show and they aren’t.

They are going to air Y&R and Days back to back in prime time for six hours.
