CNN’s ‘New Day’ Down From ‘Early Point’ & ‘Starting Point’s’ Ratings in the Time Period Among Total Viewers and Adults 25-54

The ratings for CNN’s new morning program New Day, which airs from 6-9AM, have fallen below those of its timeslot predecessors Early Start & Starting Point.  For the week of June 17-21, the show underperformed Early Start/Starting Point’s May 2013 ratings by 20 percent among Total Viewers (302,000 versus 379,000) and 37 percent among Adults 25-54 (122,000 versus 162,000).

New Day’s ratings are also down versus CNN’s year-to-date average in the time period among by 1 percent among Total Viewers (302,000 versus 306,000) and Adults 25-54 (102,000 versus 122,000).

Update: Should’ve noted though that last Friday New Day came in second with both adults 25-54 and total viewers ahead of  MSNBC’s Morning Joe.
