Under the Dome

No summer series has been more highly anticipated than Under the Dome. Based on a bestselling Stephen King novel, executive produced by A-list showrunner Neal Baer and with a cast that includes Dean Norris, Rachelle Lefevre and Britt Robertson, this is one summer show that isn't debuting after the official end of the season because of a lack of network confidence. It's intended to be a big event. So how big do you think its premiere tonight will be?  Make your predictions below.

    My predictions:

The Big Bang Theory 2.0 (both repeat episodes)
Under The Dome 1.4 (series premiere)

Back in April 2009, Harper’s Island premiered with a 2.7 rating with 3.7 rated CSI as its lead-in. Unfortunately for CBS, two repeat episodes of The Big Bang Theory won’t get anywhere near a 3.7 in June 2013.

I’ll be optimistic and predict The Big Bang Theory will earn close to its repeat performance on the last Monday of the television season (2.1 on May 20, 2013)

Damn it! Just realized that I missed Under the Dome. I thought it was premiering next Monday. Hopefully they encore it this Friday or Saturday or put it online so I can see the first episode. I will set my DVR for next week and all other weeks after that.

Just read HowardBeale’s comment. Are you for real?

woah! the HH overnights are quite high – 9.2 rating/15 (per Berman)

  • Samunto

Yea read the 9.2/15 too and that’s huuuuuge! I think a 3.0+ in the demo is now very possible. (yes i predicted otherwise but damn..)

    From calibadger (CBS guy)

chicago numbers still out, but as of now, based on metered market numbers, #UnderTheDome outrates every ’12-’13 new series premiere

#UnderTheDome does a 3.1 1849 in 25 LPM markets, a 4.2 in 2554. more to come when fast nationals pop up.

That will probably drop with the fast nationals, but… WOW

And it was actually a good show. Yes, very many sub-stories but very entertaining from start to finish.

‘Under the Dome” (CBS): Monday 10 p.m. (June 24): 9.2/15

    According to the overnights!
