I mean Friday Oct 18 will be The Originals Pilot rerun.

@Jennifer – I agreed, the earlier the premiere dates the more repeats and CW doesn’t have a lot of shows.

@John A – Maybe to spread the wealth a little bit. Maybe CW figures that having 3 new shows air in one week is too much so push 1 to the next week to promote it a little better.

  • Oliver

I bet they will repeat Reign on Oct 25.

I imagine they’ll repeat the backdoor pilot of The Originals during premiere week, and there’s no need to repeat the 2nd episode.

  • Oliver

I mean October 18 too. You confused me.

  • Dan

@Oliver – Well is the backdoor Vampire Diaries episode the Pilot or is it a special episode and then does The Originals have it’s own Pilot?

  • Dan

I can hopefully see Supernatural doing to The Originals what SPN did for Arrow and The Vampire Diaries. Of the 3 I can see Reign being cancelled first but all 3 will probably get a full season.

  • rob60990

Not surprised CW stuck with October premieres. It worked out ok last year and there was a lot less complaining from CW fans about long breaks in between episodes.

But of course you can’t please everybody.

  • rob60990

“Late premieres don’t kill shows. Long in-season hiatus and bad timeslots do.”

No, bad writing and bad acting kills shows. The Vampire Diaries remains their highest rated show despite going against the number 1 show on TV.

  • HV

Now how long until Reign gets canceled and replaced by The 100? November? January? :)

  • CBSviewer

Supernatural, Arrow and The Vampire Diaries will remain the highest rated Shows on The CW. The Originals and The Tomorrow People looks good but we’ll see…
The Carrie Diaries, Nikita and Reign will probably be cancelled.

  • Dan

@HV – It will probably run 13 episodes and then get replaced in Jan or Feb. Although The Carrie Diaries is the most likely to be cancelled first or not get a back order.

  • Ekras

@Dan – What summer shows? CW doesn’t have a summer schedule – the entire network is dead besides a few reality and comedies etc.

  • israelCD

MONDAYS and FRIDAYS will be DEAD ! Mark My Words !

  • Dave

I can’t believe TCD fans complaining about a late October start be thankful your show is still being aired, it should’ve been cancelled.

  • Charlie

no dates yet for the 100 or nikita?

  • vcoolwater

I am not shocked. Last season, CW show premiered in October too. I guess they feel they don’t have to compete with other season and series premieres.

I am be curious to see how the new show do. None of them as of right now has the hype that Arrow had. I think Originals and Tomorrow People will do okay. I have feeling CW going to struggle to find another “breakout” hit that they had in Arrow.

  • taylor

why’s everyone complaining about the delay premiere for carrie diaries? nikita got the same treatmeant last year.

  • Dennis

dont understand why put AMERICA’S Next Top Model on a friday, which premieres on August 2, while other show are coming back in October. A season of top model has 12 episode or something like that. They could easily aired a season before all those others shows starts.

  • Simon

Nikita Season 4 is the finale season, so, no. It won’t be cancelled.

I guess the premiere is mid-season this time around?

  • Brandy

Can’t wait for HoD,BatB,Carrie Diaries,Eign,Originals,Vampire Diaries.Suprised they didn’t start CD Ealier to finish before winter hiatus.
@John A, people speculate Originals is starting on the 15 to avoid Sheild.

  • davie

Interesting that supernatural kicked off last year’s schedule and now it’s one of the remaining shied to premiere. Not that it all really matters.. Just curiosity since ratings improved
