Love & Hip Hop Atlanta 2
Love & Hip Hop won the night with a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating, down from last week's 1.8 adults 18-49. WWE Raw came in second with a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating down from last week's 1.5.

We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our primary source. If you don’t see an original episode of a show here, it’s because it wasn’t in that list.

The list below is long but you can use your browsers "find on page" feature (usually CTRL+F or CMD+F) to search for specific shows.

@Jim – cite verifiable sources, please, about your comment re: The Fosters, or else admit you have nothing rational to contribute to this discussion.

Re: King & Maxwell – a People 3-star review is not exactly the best promo material TNT would like to use. A 0.4 demo is definitely not helpful. However, I have seen evidence that they are prepared for some sort of ending at the end of this season if needed. And, on a scale of 0-10, I would rate it a 7 – finding its sea legs still, too much inside the Beltway for a great demo imo. And, my wife loves it a bit better than I do – no argument with the remote in our house, always a positive.

Re: Major Crimes – I can’t figure out the demo drop from the premiere – imo, the show is definitely very good quality still, say, a 9.

    @Billiam

Well The Fosters is TV-14. Not meant for anyone under that age anyway.

    @Jim

    Source?

  • Hillbilly

Hope King & Maxwell gets better. The second show wasn’t as good as the first. Got the latest episode recorded.

  • Hillbilly

d.d. – Fell asleep during ‘Major Crimes.’ Like the old gang from “the Closer’, though.

So that means The Fosters skews older then S@B?

  • Bryan

Any news on numbers for Copper?

  • Marixa

@Panda22 the fosters skews younger actually ii believe

  • Lisa

I think that The Fosters is an important television show and I’m so pleased that the audience is growing. For many families, this is the first show which portrays their family – which can only help to lead to greater tolerance and acceptance. I think that the acting is good – the two moms are excellent and some of the kids are too. It also strikes a nice balance between teen drama and familial issues.

  • Nikki

If the sponsors pulled out thats it for The Fosters.. i hope not cause if Twisted gets picked up this im done. That show is so bad.

  • Bull

Last week Nikki hated The Fosters. now suddenly she wants it to succeed?

And @Jim is a conservative fanatic with no real proof. just spin spin spin. I am sure his source is One Million Moms. they made this very statement and then tried to take credit for it. advertisements shift as audiences shift. the show is a success. ABC Family is celebrating. They have a critical darling and a ratings HIT! I could not be any happier for The Creators of The Fosters. They got something on television worth something of value and in this day and age, that is next to impossible!

    Defiance 18-49 ratings thus far:

    01×01: ”Pilot” – 1.0
01×02: ”Down in the Ground Where the Dead Men Go” – 0.8
01×03: ”The Devil in The Dark” – 0.8
    01×04: ”A Well Respected Man” – 0.8
    01×05: ”The Serpent’s Egg” – 0.6
    01×06: ”Brothers in Arms” – 0.8
    01×07: ”Goodbye Blue Sky” – 0.6
    01×08: ”I Just Wasn’t Made for These Times” – 0.6
01×09: ”If I Ever Leave This World Alive” – 0.5
    01×10: ”The Bride Wore Black” – 0.5

As you can see it seems pretty consistent even with slight drops here and there. And if the show maintains these current numbers in Season two it should see a 3rd, and these days, anything around or above a 0.5 in the demo is good for a SCRIPTED show on SyFy.

  • Simon

    Additional to the above post:

In total the season has averaged thus far a 0.70 in the 18-49 demo and 2.04.

“the fosters skews younger actually ii believe”

Yes, just read ABC Family’s press release. The Fosters grew out of Switched at Birth in the teen demographics.

Once again, TNT can’t find a 10pm Monday show that works!!! 9pm seems to do OK with Dallas this winter and now Major Crimes.. But the followup shows just don’t draw… King and Maxwell is OK but I’m not buying the concept that much.. Hot-Headed and hot babe with sullen older guy… The best thing on the show frankly is Edger played by Ryan Hurst… Monday Mornings was another failure at 10pm for TNT though that was a solid D.E. Kelly show IMO.. Maybe Longmire is picking off the audience from Major Crimes

  • Nikki

@ bull actually i wasnt rooting for The Fosters to fail.. i just didnt want it to do much better then Bunheads cause i like that show better. And im not now rooting for it to be a success either. I just stated that its a better show then Twisted and if either one should be brought back is The Fosters not Twisted.

“Deon Cole’s Black Box” is definitely the funniest thing on TV right now. He’s really found a good format, sort of a Daily Show type take on pop culture news. Best thing about it is that they don’t dwell on any one story for too long. As soon as they’ve gotten their biggest laughs, they move on to the next story.

For a long time now, Deon Cole’s sketches have been the only slightly original and funny segments on “Conan” (who has totally lost his edge in the last year on TBS…) So this was a really smart move from TBS to give Deon 30 minutes a week on his own. I don’t know if they can keep it up, but right now, Deon Cole is just killing it on this show.

Which is why I’m sad they cancelled Warehouse 13. It’s getting .4 consistently and I suspect it’s much less expensive to produce. But SyFy doesn’t seem to like shows that go more than 5 seasons and the producers of Warehouse 13 think SyFy needs the money to fund Defiance. Frankly I love both shows and wish they would keep both around.

  • The End

    @Percysowner

Warehouse 13 was cancelled because the ratings have dropped significantly since it started, and with each new season, you see an increase in budget. The needing money to fund Defiance is nonsense.

@anything around or above a 0.5 in the demo is good for a SCRIPTED show on SyFy.

Not really. Just things have dropped so much that 0.5 would be deemed as average in all honesty. Besides, you don’t just look at the 18-49 for cable networks, the network also likes viewer numbers too.

Infact Craig Engler did graphs and everything when SGU was cancelled and basically said the show needed over 2 million viewers to be sustainable to the network ;).

I bet with these current numbers for Defiance it won’t get a third season.

  • The End

Oh and before anyone says, well, why did SGU get a 2nd season if its numbers dropped below 1.5 million in the second half. Well that’s simple. MGM and Syfy had an agreement set up where basically the decision if the show would be renewed or not had to be made before the 10th episode.

Some people make the mistake of thinking the 18-49 is the sole reason why a show is renewed on all cable networks, stuff like viewer numbers and other demographic numbers are important to some too.

    Good for Switched staying steady
