  • Oliver

I imagine CBS is scrambling to sign the UTD cast to multiyear contracts.

  • ryan

Ithink CBS should keep UTD in the summer schedule yes its getting good ratings but if it were in the fall or spring scehudle it would be lower because it would have more comption summers a good place for it I mean what other show could get those ratings in the summer ?

  • harry

Why is this a summer series ? it does better than all cbs fall lol.

  • harry

    cbs fall dramas*

  • The End

@I imagine CBS is scrambling to sign the UTD cast to multiyear contracts.

Ignoring the fact 99.9 percent of shows offer yearly contracts.

  • Melissa

So Under the Dome is the 2nd-strongest drama premiere of the season in A18-49!

  • Mike

Very good numbers for UTD. And Hostages is looking good too. Finally CBS may start getting decent numbers again on Mondays 10 pm.

  • SJ

Amazing ratings for Under the Dome! The show itself is really good too.

Also, UTD was not intended to be a mini-series, so I don’t see how signing the cast onto multi-year contracts is going to be a problem.

    @The End

Nonsense. A standard drama contract is 5 years.

  • James

Remember Siberia is premeiring next week.

  • Steve

    WOW……Under The Dome did FANTASTIC!

  • zerg

    a 3.3 at 10pm is already a miracle on fall…plus 13m viewers..hope won’t drop too much next week..

  • yoyo

  • The End

@Nonsense. A standard drama contract is 5 years.

    Not for every show.

  • Melissa

I hope this 3.3 premiere is a sign of good things to come in the fall! I expect S.H.I.E.L.D to premiere the biggest.

  • Dahne

Very impressive for Under the Dome. I enjoyed the show which is another plus. I’m not usually into shows that are ratings hits. Here’s hoping they can keep up the intrigue…and that they kill Junior. He hasn’t earned his crazy yet.

@The End – What are you talking about? Almost every TV actor has multi-year contracts. Supernatural’s stars just signed on through season 10 last year and they’ve yet to start season 9. Just because they are not guaranteed that the show will be renewed doesn’t mean that they are not contracted to stay with that show if it does.

  • joel

Under The Dome could have been a Fall hit for any other network. With CBS being so conservative and already having plenty of successful dramas they won’t risk science fiction in the Fall. I’m fine with that because it gives us something good to watch in the summer.

  • Pepper

    Great job, UTD!

  • Mon

Kinda interesting that TBS ran a TBBT marathon last night instead of the usual Family Guy reruns. CBS comedies could have been a bit higher and maybe Under The Dome.

  • Jake

Yes! Under the Dome was awesome. 3.3 with 13.53 million viewers!? Is that CBS’s best premiere this entire season??? It might be better than Elementary (ratings wise).
