Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Wooo! Stephen King redeemed after Kingdom Hospital flopped a decade ago!

  • Damon

Unlucky for Mistresses but decent ratings for Under The Dome hopefully it won’t drop to much and looking forward to next weeks episode aswell

  • gerry

that’s crazy for summer. i expected under the dome to do well but not that well!

  • DenverDean

Fast nationals don’t include Chicago because of storm. Too bad for NBC – definitely lost some big numbers there.

  • Alyssa Milano

I wonder how much Under the Dome will drop off in its 2nd week? it slaughtered Mistresses! Unless people DVR’d Mistresses?

  • Dennis

    @Minx

Kingdom Hospital started with 14 million viewers and fell to 2 million viewers

  • Austin

Why even air The Carrie Diaries repeats? They need to do something fast if they want the show to live past five episodes. They should probably add it to Netflix.

I thought Under the Dome was very interesting. It was much like other apocalyptic shows, but I love most of those other shows. I will keep watching.

  • rob60990

It’s no surprise Mistresses is failing. Who thought comparing it to Scandal was a good idea? lmao :D

  • Bella Bellini

Wow, Under the Dome is a hit! Glad people are watching. We need more shows like this on TV. I really enjoyed the premiere.

  • BlueAndGreenHair (former BigFlop)

everybody uses FLOP in their name, I was the first one, LOL

  • Steph

    I enjoyed Under the Dome.

  • k:Alex

    Wow, that’s unexpected.
If it can hold it’s ratings, the show will be back in spring.

  • tom

    @ Dennis

Damn!!! How on earth did that happen? That was like everyone gone!!!!!!!

  • Dan

Under the Dome started out great, it built on The Big Bang Theory and hopefully it can maintain those numbers.

Raising Hope repeats well, hopefully it does the same in eventual syndication.

  • Max Vrany

NBC averaged a 3.1/9 for the entire night, including the ~25 minutes of pregame. The game peaked in the 10:30 half hour with a 3.8/11. All NBC numbers are preliminary at this time.

  • Samunto

Those numbers for Carrie Diaries are embarassing. They should just air pictures of LOLCATS and that will rate muuuuuch higher!

  • Bort

Note that the Stanley Cup Finals aired on an non-affiliated station in Detroit as our NBC affiliate covered the Windsor-Detroit International Fireworks.

And yes, we do shoot off our fireworks early, because it would be bad form to shoot off fireworks over Canada on July 4th, or over the US on July 1st (Canada Day).

  • Fred

I enjoyed Under the Dome. Really looking forward to further eps.
Imagine how high UTD ratings would be, had it aired in the regular season.

  • Jack Bauer

    GO BLACKHAWKS!! :-)

  • Fred

Did CW ever air a show with 0.0 18-49 rating?
