Beauty and the Bust at Comic-Con? Seriously? What’s the discussion going to be about? Makeup tips for Beliebers? I thought Comic-Con was supposed to provide a venue for cool shows with novel storylines, preferably genre shows with sci fi or at least futuristic themes. B&B is a badly acted soaper with pretensions of being a fantasy show. I’m attending again this year and the last thing on my mind is putting up with Pedowitz treating Comic Con as if it were a venue for presentations to the CW’s network affiliates.

  • scfyi

I am still waiting for the Beast.

  • scifi

@Tom B&tB is scifi, not fantasy.

  • Claudia

OMG Tom get a life…do you have like everything I hate about BATB window coming up or what?

BATB was at SDCC 2012 and its freshman year and it was a success not even been aired yet. So get it to your anti-BATB head, this show is a fan favorite and will be there, its funny CBS brought all freshman shows and BATB and by the way, you might hate on this show, but S3 is coming LOL

  • Claudia

and your BS about CW and Pedowitz, its not the networks that bring the shows….is the studios, so is their choice which ones are coming.

  • Tom

I see by your comment about B&B being a “a fan favorite” that you’re still firmly in denial about the obvious fact that B&B was a ratings flop last season. We correctly predicted early last season that the show would bomb and it did. B&B barely averaged a 0.6 demo and finished with four consecutive 0.5 demos and season low numbers of “fans”. So, if that’s your idea of a “fan favorite” you should consider finally breaking with tradition and actually learning something about the television ratings system.

Like it or not, B&B is only back because the CBS/WB joint venture won’t invest enough money in that network’s productions to replace it with a good show. It doesn’t matter to me if the CW dumps B&B onto its Monday evening schedule where the competition will bury it. However, parading drivel like this at Comic-Con is an entirely different issue.

Beauty and the beast is haning in there better than nikita and while I am not a beasty as they call themselves the show is far better than any episode I. Ever watched of the carry diaries or nikita so good for you beasties.

  • Wright

I’m more interested in UTD and Star-Crossed than B&tB. Intelligence seems to have potential.

  • Skylar James

@Tom: like it or not, BATB is more successful than that crappy ass show you like Carrie Diaries. Deal with it biatch.

  • Sissy

I don’t understand viewers, like I don’t understand the outcome of elections. But anyway, I love BATB more than those stupid sitcoms with canned laughter – horrible. BATB has it all, action, fantasy, romance, humor – like Fringe had. I hope it gets a few more seasons and Beasties just have to be sure they support the show by watching it every week.

  • Sandra

Tom, youre putting your own spin on this in a big way. Like or not, B&tB was pretty much the fourth best rated show on the CW. So it did fine for a newcomer. Its a interesting storyline, the actors have developed good chemistry, and you don’t have to like it. Just don’t watch it, and don’t insult people whose taste differs from your own. The negativity is unhealthy. Not everything at Comicon has to be about plastic forehead aliens, and it never has bee, Its a mix. Beaauty and the Beast is very much Urban Fantasy. So it certainly belongs. You are not the arbiter ofsci fi taste.

  • Sandra

Um..Tom who is this “we” you keep talking about? You seem very much alone.
