Months before it premieres in ABC's Thursday at 8PM deadzone, ABC has expressed its confidence in the Once Upon A Time spinoff Once Upon A Time in Wonderland by ordering additional episodes of the show, which originally received an order for 13 episodes. However, the network will not reveal how many extra episodes have been ordered. Showrunner Edward Kitsis told Entertainment Weekly "We really want to tell the story without having to worry about how to stretch it for five years. The upfront order will be it for the season. This is not meant to be a 22-episode season. Whatever it ends up being, we’ll have told a complete story, with a beginning, middle and end.”

That statement is vague enough to make Lewis Carroll proud. Of course, readers of this site know that the number of episodes ordered does not always correlate with the number of episodes aired.

They must be planning to move it out of the death slot and replace it with Wipeout reruns.

I predict it ends up next to OUAT on Sunday and they slide Revenge to 10pm after Betrayal gets cancelled.

Personally I understand this show not being 22 episodes and I think it’s a good idea, but I also think it’s a bad idea. Let’s say this show has like 18 episodes,so is it going to start from September to December then come back and end in late February? And what happens if it DOES break the Thursday at 8 curse, they’re just gonna let it be 18 episodes still and then put a new show that’s destined to fail in March? I think they should do 9 episodes from Sept. to Dec. and then come back in February and do 9 more episodes from Feb. to May if it does do good. But I just think it’s stupid for ABC to do like 18 episodes for a show that’s probably gonna break the Thursday at 8 curse and then replace it with another new show that’s probably gonna fail.

    Any thoughts?

There is so little faith in ABC, but don’t hate on Wonderland. If any show could be successful in this time-slot it’s this one.
