Cult returns tonight with two back-to-back episodes for its summer burn-off. It was the rare scripted show pulled from the CW before all of its episodes aired, after being exiled from its original Tuesday at 9PM timeslot to Friday nights. The very meta Supernatural thriller may have just been too strange and complicated for its own good. Its most recent episode on Friday, April 5 earned a paltry 0.2 adults 18-49 rating. Could it go even lower tonight? Or will it miraculously benefit from being the only original scripted programming on broadcast television? Make your predictions.

    cue the “Lol if it gets 0.0″ comments. It’s childish that people actually hope that networks fail

  • FlorianNz

    0.48m viewers | 0.1A18-49

  • Tom Hooper

    Well I had to post because of the dare. I at one time had Cult on TIVO, maybe my machine will record it tonight. I will have to check. Kevin Bacon’s show “”The Following ” took the viewing audience as far as I could tell.

  • Dennis

    Easily the worst show of the season across all networks

  • Greg

    I never watched the show, but I’m glad they’re at least airing the episodes. I hate when networks just pull them off and don’t even bother airing the remaining ones.

    That being said, a 0.0 WOULD be hilarious, though I don’t think it goes that low. I predict a 0.1.

  • tom

    0.0 seems too out of reach for a network show, even if it is on The CW. It would need to have something like less than 200k total viewers for that to happen. If it does get less than 100k viewers, it would be hilarious.

  • CBSviewer

    I voted 0.0 but I think it’ll get a 0.1 this Friday.

    @ FLOP Detector
    It will be the biggest FLOP of all time if it gets a 0.0. ;)

    @Crim TV

    How is it childish its a burn off of a show which was canceled so highly doubt the CW will even notice or care if it got 0.0 ratings for a burn off and its only a joke anyway even though i liked Cult just glad they are airing the remaining eps

  • CrimTV

    @Damon

    I’m not saying it’s childish that The CW are airing it, i’m saying it’s childish how people think it’s hilarious if it gets a 0.0.

  • AAA

    It’s actually not a bad show, still can not understand why it bombed so much. I’ll watch the remaining episodes for sure.
    SPN was getting 0.3 on this spot for repeats, so I’ll be optimistic and root for 0.2.

  • MichaelChickless

    Maybe it’ll develop a cult following on Friday nights. Nah, probably not.

  • Joseph

    To get a 0.0 in the 18-49 demo, “Cult” would probably have to draw no more than about 200,000 viewers nationally.

    I don’t think it will be that low, but it might generate a 1.1.

    Besides, many people watching TV tonight (June 28th) will be watching local baseball.

  • buttondiet

    It’s actually possible to get a 0.0?? Has it ever happened?

  • Nick

    @buttondiet

    Yes. A show called “CW Now” got a number of 0.0’s when it was on. Also, hundreds of cable shows each day probably get 0.0, but no one knows about it because it’s not reported.

  • Dan

    @CrimTV – I don’t think people root for the show to fail but it is interesting to see how CW shows continue to break lowest ratings records. Honestly in the shape their in, CW should have just left Cult to burn off on Fridays April-May.

  • John A

    8pm 0.2 and 9pm 0.1.

  • Bitter Ringer Fan

    very likely 0.1 to tie its series low, I doubt it’ll get 0.0

  • Andrew

    At least Cult is getting a proper burn off. Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apt 23 didn’t get a burn off. ABC put the eight remaining episodes online for only two weeks during the busiest time of the year for many people with college graduations and Memorial Day weekend and then yanked them off ( why?) meanwhile keeping two of the episodes that aired in January online (which everyone who watched/followed Apt 23 have already seen. Would it hurt ABC to air the remaining episodes of Apt 23 in Family Tools spot? It would at least get the rating Family Tools get, but most likely higher. ABC can be really stupid at times.

  • brian

    Not expecting a miracle. I vote 0.2. Maybe it goes lower next week for Independence Day?

  • CrimTV

    @Dan

    The CW did better this season than last season though….
