Under the Dome Week 2

Under the Dome had a huge premiere last week, earning a 3.3 adults 18-49 rating, and becoming CBS’s highest rated summer premiere  since 2005. Can Under the Dome maintain its first-week momentum, or is a ratings dip inevitable? Vote below and sound off in the comments!

it will have a decent sized drop imo

    2.6 with 9.8 million viewers

  • Kissan

I think optimistic. 3.0 and 11 million viewers

  • Greg

I hope it can stay at a 3.0. The real question is: will CBS leave the show on summer if it’s successful enough to get renewed? I hope so. Summers are usually so boring, TV wise. Hopefully Under the Dome can stimulate CBS to keep trying this kind of stuff.

3.0, 11 Million. Hope it does well. Nice to have a show to watch on Broadcast for Summer.

  • Californiadgd

    2.6, 10 million

i say 3.2-2.9 but still good

  • Elyse

I’m hoping Under the Dome can stay strong! Last weeks pilot has me hooked already!!

  • Kimberly

I’m thinking it’ll be 2.9, maybe a 3.0. I personally wasn’t into it at all, but I know a bunch of others who said they’d give it another shot.

  • TV Addict

Ok so I read the book because I knew they were going to make a TV show out of it and THEY ARE SO DIFFERENT!!!
Like the majority of the characters are completely different from the book.
I still like the show and hope it continues to do great, but I was seriously shocked, especially because Stephen King is like the executive producer or something.

  • Samunto

Not so sure about this one. Part of me expects it to hold the premiere rating but history says sth different when it comes to Stephen King’s series.

    I’ll say 3.3.

  • Nikki

im going with 3.1 3.2.. im sure it will drop a little but not much. Its a pretty good show. Im looking forward to the second episode.

  • DenverDean

Think it’ll stay around 3.0 for two reasons: 1) the SC drew a large potential audience away from premier; and 2) the positive showing the encore had last night.

  • Neil

Under the Dome is going to drop like a upturned Dome.

  • MichaelChickless

I will guess 2.8, but I’m hoping for better.

  • NeNe Leakes

Will hit the ground like a safe harder than New Normal ever did. Blonk!

  • Tihomir

    At least 2.9.

  • Dan S

I’m going out on a limb & say it’s going to top it’s premiere from last week. With good WOM & excellent reviews UDT will definitely come out on top. I know everyone I’ve talked to love the show & plan on continuing to watch.

  • Stephen

hm, here’s the thing about Under the Dome.. does anyone know how it is doing on Amazon Prime Instant Video? CBS and Amazon have a deal where the latest episode appears on Amazon instant(free for Prime members) 3 days after it airs.. so in a way, the broadcast ratings aren’t the be all, end all for this show..

BTW 5+ million people watched a repeat of UDT last night, bringing the total for the pilot to 20+ Million

I’d say it could go to ways I a shocking drop to a 2.6 . Or a shocking increase from its premiere to a 3.5

  • JoshuaCanada

I predict a 2.9, it will do well and hold up though a small drop is expected. Still flat out fantastic for summer. I won’t be watching live since it’s Canada day and I’ll be watching fireworks but I’ll be DVRng and watch it later.
