    The End

    @Charmed
    @Can Under The Dome get renewed? I thought it was a mini-series.

    Stephen King said recently that the dome is planned to be there for months. Though I’m sure that can be changed if CBS wants another season.
    ==================================================================

    I hope they have a way to end it in case it DOESN’T get renewed. If the season ends with the expectation that it’ll be renewed and doesn’t… it’ll be silly.

    Course, that can also be said about any subsequent season if it gets renewed.

  • fakeem

    @TheEnd Like I said before, they extended Heroes after it became a hit, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they did the same for UTD.

  • The End

    @jake3988

    They should be filming Episodes 12/13 by now. They likely would know by now from CBS what they want from the show, and have gone along that route. I don’t think renewal is in doubt though personally, if this series is extended, it shouldn’t be a problem.

  • MistressesISAFLOP

    hahahaha at Mistresses dying on its ass. Alyssa Skankano couldn’t carry a show if her life depended on it.

  • Dan S

    UTD will definitely see a 2nd season. Only question is if CBS wants to keep it as a summer series or bring it back next spring when they’ll have holes in their schedule to fill. IMO it’ll likely remain a summer series but you never know what network execs are thinking. I recall Survivor started out with a summer run initially as well.

  • MichaelChickless

    UTD adjusted up like some of us had soothsaid!

    @ Charmed

    Can Under The Dome get renewed? I thought it was a mini-series

    When a network orders a Show they always expect a Season 2. Considering Under the Dome is high rated CBS will probably want to Renew it.

  • The End

    @CBSviewer

    Especially if it maintains this level of viewership throughout the season, not many networks would want to give up on something pulling over 11 million viewers, and a 2.9 lol

    @fakeem

    I agree, any new season would need something to freshen things up though.

  • Varun

    I love how everyone is proclaming under the Dome is a huge hit. How about we wait a couple more episodes before we start using the word “hit”. We don’t know what level will the ratings stabilized. The show might go thru a small decline throughout the summer.

    @ The End

    not many networks would want to give up on something pulling over 11 million viewers, and a 2.9 lol

    Especially since it gets higher ratings than most of Shows airing during the Season ;)

  • JR35

    What am I thinking? UTD’s overall viewership is almost 2x (not 4x) as much as the combined audience of the other two 10 p.m. shows. And more than twice of the demo- it be embarrassing those weaklings. :)

  • Brian

    There are plenty of other King novels waiting for good television treatment, even if UtD reaches a logical conclusion and can’t realistically go to a second season. “11/22/63″ next summer on CBS, maybe?

  • Drago

    If UTD continues to be a success, CBS should consider filming “11/22/63″ next summer.

  • Drago

    Wow – someone has been reading my mind.

  • CBSviewer

    @ Drago and Brian

    J.J. Abrams already plans to create a TV Show based on “11/22/63″. But, so far, didn’t sell it to any network.

  • Flame

    So we leave the Goodwin family with the doc loving his dad, the criminal brother dating the reluctant lawyer and the math queen reuniting with the nerd. We have no idea to who the inheritance got, we haven’t seen the congresswoman, have no idea how that wedding pans out (or if he reunites with the minister) and whoever was that guy who got the million in episode 1?

    Well, thanks Fox for killing off that series, actually, no, thanks for never giving it a fair chance. I won’t repeat that Fox is run by morons, but I have a feeling that this show would have fit CBS better, maybe as a replacement for How I met your Mother.

  • agsb2

    Its too good for a summer show

  • Charmed

    I wish Alyssa Milano’s show was doing better, she was my favorite in Charmed.

  • Charmed

    @MistressesISAFLOP You’re disgusting, Alyssa is a lovely person and a mother.

  • Anon

    Pleased to see it adjust up to 2.9 – I predicted 3.0

    Gawd I hope they don’t ruin UtD by stretching it out to multi-season. Tell the story, tell it well, and find a new mini-series for next summer.
