Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Disappointed that McRae on Big Brother has ZERO backbone and put Elissa up for eviction! Nick was telling him not to do that and keeping Elissa could actually work form them, but NO! I thought winning MVP would make someone immune that week from being put on the block, but that is not the case, so I think this new “twist” is pointless! Everyone wants to hate on Elissa just because she is Rachel’s sister, and I think that is dumb because yes I know Rachel was a strong player and won her season, but someone should work with her because I am sure Rachel gave her some pointers on how to strategically play the game. Aaryn is so immature and jealous it is pathetic and watching her and David’s “showmance” is like watching paint dry! The only people I like so far are Elissa, Howard, Spencer, Helen, Nick, Amanda and Candice. The rest are really annoying me right now.

@rob60990, I so agree with you and Betty White rules!! I loved watching the Golden Girls growing up and now watch the reruns! Now that was a great show, not all this overhyped stuff with bad acting and cliched bed-hopping, (i.e. Nashville).

Someone posted earlier thought America’s Next Top Model got 9 million viewers, no it was America’s Got Talent.

  • talbet

Who wants to watch a bunch of snarky racists sit around being phony?

  • Dan

@Dennis – Maybe because ABC feels bad about cancelling it.For some reason they air BOP repeats but never Revenge, Castle, Grey’s, or Scandal.

I wish they’d burn off Apartment 23 in the slot.

  • Michael

AGT is performing terribly this season! If the show is down to a 2.3 during the audition process (entertaining part), how low will it go for the LIVE shows?

  • talbet

AGT is so homogenized. They all agree on everything. Howard Stern is so edited as to have no edge left to him whatsoever. And they really think a dog doing tricks is a million dollar act? That show has potential being wasted like crazy.

  • Nikki

has anyone heard how PLL did last night yet? I know they will have it here eventually.. but just curious if anyones seen anything yet? The episode was really good last night too so im sure its going to be good ratings.

    Melanie P,

I’m disappointed in the cast this year. A lot of racist, homophobic, sexist BIGOTS as contestants this year.

  • Andrew

Wow, all five English nets had reality shows from 9 to 10.

  • Andrew

At least I had stuff to watch on my DVR last night. I saw Goodwin Games, Wilfred, and Inside Man.

  • rob60990

Dan, ABC is repeating Castle on Sundays. ABC rarely repeats their serialized dramas.

  • Cory

No need to trash Golden Girls, that show would get 30-40 million viewers and double digit demo on Saturday night.

  • joethehobo

    @Melanie P,

It’s pretty well known that David is going home tonight and Elissa was just put up as a pawn. They even alluded to it on last night’s show. And by the way, we do NOT want to ruin 15 seasons of Big Brother by giving America the power to save people and evict people. If you want that crap then just watch The Glass House or the international versions. Or I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

  • Hardline_Pro

    Die Big brother…DIEEE.

I just expressed my opinion. It’s a free country and I’m allowed to! I haven’t called anyone any names in this BUG OFF

  • Christian

Rob you’re just as annoying as BBFan so I don’t get where you get the temerity to lecture him. Why don’t you both take a hike!

  • r0ckmypants

@Michael1 – If people are on vacation, then they’re away from their Nielsen boxes.

  • TRAD

    It’s in its 15th season…

  • Theresa

I love SYTYCD. I want the show to continue and to do well. I hate the format of eliminating the dancers at the beginning of the show. It is awkward on so many levels. It’s awkward for them to have to dance afterwards. It’s awkward to watch them after they danced stand there holding back tears while you’re asked to vote for their partner. It’s not good. If they want to announce whose in the bottom 4 early in the show so the dancers know to try to kill it in their dance as well as their dance for their life I could see that. It may help retain viewer through the whole show plus it puts the drama at the end which should also help retain viewers. That’s the point – get & keep more viewers to sell more advertising to make more money. I hope we don’t have a full season of this format.
