Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Come on Floppity and the Beast, hit a 0.0! :D

    I don’t have anything against old people…

Clearly you do. You used the description “Old” in a derogatory way at least seven times in your post. Hey, it’s your opinion and that’s fine and all but at least own up to it. Don’t pretend it is this one actresses fault and not your personal bias.

She’s dragging the 18-49 numbers down!

I doubt that. Personally, I hate her character too but mostly because she is annoying. I seriously doubt she is the only reason (or even the most influential reason)the demo numbers are down. I really like the show and I hope it does well enough to get a second season. That being said, I don’t think dumping Holly’s character is going to make the ratings suddenly increase. Let’s be real here.

BIG bang theory 1.2 and two and a half men 0.9 as an answer to someone yesterday saying modern family 0.8 doesnt repeat as good as those 2 shows…

  • Billy

Let’s not get ridiculous now. Last night was 4th of July. MF aired on the 3rd of July. MF has not even been within a point of either TBBT or 2 1/2 Men the entire summer.

  • CBSviewer

Good for TBBT and Two and a Half Men :)

  • Kissan

Nobody watch Cult tonight! I want it to hit a 0.0!!!

  • BigBrotherFan

Thank you for your input :)

I think we will have to agree to disagree here. I, however, believe the proof can be seen in ROOKIE BLUE alone. Rookie Blue has a young hot and continues to build off Motive and finish #1 in its slot.. even the old people on there (forgive me I don’t know the actors names) but Sam and the female detective are old but their face doesn’t look like a blowfish! They still look great. Infact, I would personally like to look like Sam and he’s old and I’m 25 and hot but still the point being nobody wants to see that clown faced hag! I’m sick of these old actress with these bloated faces on shows like this trying to act hot and having young guys seem as if they are interested. Give me a break! Kill creditbility of the show. I cringed every time she appears on my TV screen. The lead is a middle aged woman but she looks fantastic and she’s not trying desperately to come off as sexy or has a screwed up plastic surgery.

It’s happening all too often SPECIALLY on CBS young people like me don’t like this.

Sorry if you find offensive but it’s merely just my opinion. Wonderful day to you! :)

TBBT proves its rerun strength even on Independence Day. Not a lot else needs to be said about these numbers.

  • Cath

Lauren Holly was a drag on NCIS and they bumped her off so please do not wish that she go back there. We “old” folks didn’t like her on NCIS either. Had nothing to do with her age but had to do with the way she portrayed the part.

  • POIFanatic

Bigbrotherfan: You are obnoxious and pathetic, just like your show. You do not have any right to judge. You annoy me everytime I read the comments with your stupidity. My friend would call you a sexist and age-ist (yes, she made it up). Just hope not everyone thinks that all the rest of us young men are like you.

  • Phil

Next year…don’t let artists curate the music! No need for Usher.

  • BigBrotherFan

Okay I want to just say that my issue really isn’t at old people, per say. I respect the old people. They teach me many things and I am grateful. My issue is with old people trying to act young and sexy on TV and then acting as if people would buy into it. Old people that know their place I have much respect for like The Good Wife she is sexy because she is a respectful woman and acts and dresses age appropriate. Alicia is beautiful. Lauren Holly is a bloated faced trashy hag who can’t act.

A great male example is Sam from ROOKIE BLUE

@POIFanatic you are showing you’re age! There is no reason to be childish and rude! I was just stating an opinion. I did not call one person here any bad name please show me the same respect!

Sorry. I never once watched that show but I looked Holly up on IMBD where she is CLEARLY lying about her age! and I saw NCIS :)

  • BigBrotherFan

I’m so glad no more Hannibal 10pm so I am no longer subjected to HUGH DANCY’s METH MOUTH!

  • The End

I agree, The Big Bang Theory is like a license to print money, it performs solidly on network/cable. Great for syndication deals there.

  • Josh

A lot more people this year bought fireworks, in fact it went up 17% (Source:nbcnews) if you were wondering why the “Macy’s 4th of July Spectacular” went down!

  • david

The NBC affiliate in Phoenix showed a fireworks special from Presscott Arizona where the firefighters died during the last hour of primetime last night instead of reshowing the Masies repeat.

  • Anon

I thought the rainy weather across the eastern seaboard would have driven people to their TVs. Perhaps they watched cable instead.

  • The End

Yeah for some reason, some Nielsen households go into hibernation during the Summer, and while the network averages drop, the cable numbers don’t go up enough to suggest everyone has jumped on the cable bandwagon.

  • Theisssuesarenow

    Yeah no hanniflop

  • pooty

I really enjoy Motive. It is a good show.
