-Friday's Ratings Via TV Media Insights

In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:

-

Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Definitions:

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Cult rebounds. Damn. lol

  • tommie

    Renew Cult now CW! This is as good as it gets 4 u.

  • Noel

    Um tied with flopkita? Nikita gets 0.3 and 0.4, plus repeats of Nikita still do much better than cult specialy in viewers in millions.

  • SueK

    Surprised (but happy) that Bones is doing so well with reruns.

  • Dennis

    I must say, Siberia didn’t repeat to badly.

    Hopfully NBC airs all 13 episodes. I like it. Its different.

    Cult took the biscuit as the worst show of the 2012/2013 season.
    Shame, as it was my most anticipated show

  • CrimTV

    @FLOP Detector

    How can you call The Vampire Diaries a flop? It’s on it’s 5th season next season and still remains the highest rated show of The CW. So what if it’s repeat don’t rate well, they’re not the ratings that’ll get it renewed for a 6th season. I’m so happy Cult rose a bit so now people can stop ‘hoping’ that it gets 0.0 which I feel is extremely childish to wish a low rating on a show you don’t like or only because you want The CW to fail. Get a life

  • John A

    @Crimtv i think he meant The Carrie Diaries.

  • CrimTV

    @John A

    Silly me lol, but still…

  • Alan

    Cult fans must be happy. And yeah, who cares about repeats? The only show that I have been seeing repeating well is The Big Bang Theory. Don’t expect people who already saw the repeated episodes again!

  • Andrew

    ^^He’s obviously talking about the Carrie Dairies. The Carrie Diaries repeats horribly (worse than any other CW show I think) and is definitely a FLOP. If it was on any other network besides the CW, broadcast or network, it would have been cancelled. The CW sure knows how to pick low hangin’ fruit.

  • Josh

    Maybe ratings infamy next week…

  • traywana

    Blue Bloods is a beast.

  • Cannibal

    @FLOP Detector @Andrew

    Do you people even know what flop means? Nikita has 4 seasons already, it is a success and Carrie Diaries has been renewed. Neither of them are flops. On the other hands every other show that has failed this season is a flop. Some of them are critical flop, some commercial flop and some tv-shows are both.

    Meaning of flop is an utter failure. Nikita has four seasons and is critically acclaimed. Carrie Diaries has mixed reviews and is only in its second season. If they were failures they wouldn’t be renewed.

  • BigBrotherFan

    Forgot to record Siberia.
    One less summer show to worry about!

    I watched 20/20 last night because I was being pathetic and stayed home on Friday…WHAT A BORING SHOW! This show belongs on CBS NOT ABC!

  • david

    good for Cult to be up. Everybody was saying it would fall to a 0 but id did not.

  • Pepper

    Are those the half hours for Cult at 8:30 and 9:30?

  • rob60990

    Cannibal, FD doesnt know what a flop is but neither do you. Being renewed does make your show a success. Andrew is right. TCD is a failure.

  • John A

    Nikita a succes? Ha ha Good one.

  • rob60990

    I mean being renewed does NOT make your show a success. Edit button where are you? :(

  • harry

    so terrrible repeat ratings for the following advertised as the biggest drama hit of the season topping cult only by 0.2 difference …such a monster you are the following.

    i hope this show dies after its long hiatus next year. and gets cancelled like touch
